Good for him.

What is 2.3 billion naira in dollars?

That is 5,947,916.84 dollars

This is small when compared to what south african banks give out to top shareholders
Forget it man! If offered 2.3 billion crispy notes in naira and 5.9 dollars, wouldn't it be stupid to go for the dollars?

My Dad once told me a story of how he would have been richer if he had bought shares in zenith when jim ovia started it. I equally read a story of how one popular musician built a house with 20M around the same time jim started zenith with 20M and we know from that story who's expenditure paid off on the long run.
Invest bro
Invest Sis
Don't freak out for transitory things when you can make better investments that will appreciate on the long run.

So you think entry level staff don't deserve good pay till they work for 100years.

Of course they deserve good pay but every fresh graduate can't get an entry level job that pays 500K a month.

They should be ready to start with what is available then climb up the salary scale instead of expecting to be put on the same pedestal as people who have being working for the past 10 years!

With the way zenith bank constantly deduct our money through frivolous charges, why won't they share billions at the expense of poor account holders.

Just "because" you say?

How many banks have failed since these guys started their own banks? Will you go and look for the likes of Pat Utomi - whose Bank PHB failed -, and compensate them for the money they lost in their unfruitful banking business?

Do you know the mental gymnastics, physical torture, and emotional wrenches they have had to endure? Especially in an unpredictable business clime like Nigeria?

Please do not belittle their sacrifice and hardwork that got them to this point. Let them enjoy the reward of their high risk.

You shouldn't take those people serious. Bunch of lazy and entitled twats. People blab about capitalists have 3 things in common:

- Have never created nor managed a business (thriving or not).

- Don't understand elementary economics.

- Joined the bandwagon, which is why they throw words anyhow.

Most Nigerians wont admit that.

The most advanced economy in africa is in south africa
the most posh areas in africa are in south africa
The most elite shopping malls in africa are in south africa
the largest banks in africa are in south africa
The most industrialized nation in africa is south africa
More that 20 Global companies are in south africa- note they were founded by south Africans
There are more millionaires in south africa than nigeria

Most Nigerians wont agree but reality is evidence

That's true

But what is also true

Is that most of those things are owned by the White South Africans...

The means of production
And most of the goodies.

Black South African vs Black Nigerian

The difference is not much, if it even exists

But yes

As an aggregate country
They are ahead

You communist leftist always hate success and have an anti-clockwise reasoning.

Equality is an illusion, we are not the same and can never be the same. There will always be the rich and poor, learn to accept this fact of life for your own good.

Communist and leftist in the sane statement ?

This is very funny

So you think entry level staff don't deserve good pay till they work for 100years.

Dont mind the people you quoted

They are supporting a destructive system because in their deluded mind, they believe they will be a beneficiary of it one day
I have met many who think like that
Both in Nigeria and elsewhere

Capitalism practised with regulations is good

And with a touch of social welfare, and a sense of respect to the community

However
The current destructive system we run (exploit as many people as possible, exploit regulations and ruin the environment, while having no sense of responsibility to the community ) is not good, and is not self sustaining

It will collapse one day and there will be a "free for all"

The earlier we think of some reform to ameliorate some of the fall out of the destructive system we currently run

The better for everybody

Its good to reap the fruit of your labour
Just dont do it in a morally bankrupt and destructive manner

Treating staff like slaves
And all that

That is why capitalism is the best. (Capitalism as practiced in the past, not this form of crony capitalism as practiced in the world today)

It rewards risk and intelligence (That's true, you could profit from your contribution to the world)

Anybody can be rich in a capitalist system (Now this is not true, the game is rigged AGAINST most of humanity l, so that statement is not true. For most people, you can only go so far despite the efforts they put in)

But that's not his fault is it?

The reality (which I normally tell people) is that no matter how hardworking one is, our country casts a multiplier or limiting factor on his works. It's almost inevitable.

Even Dangote hedges.

God help us.

That's true sha
