Before you remind the Igbos of the pogroms of 1966 or the Nigerian civil war that claimed millions of lives... this few points I'll make are especially mearnt for the afonja morons who always seem particularly edgy, and enthused about taking us back history lane whenever some form of injustice is meted out to Igbos... and Igbos decide to fight back one way or another. Here are the key points worth noting...

(1) Egbon 1966-70 isn't 2020, for one that's fucking many years ago... and A LOT had changed between then and now.

(2) Our fathers and fathers before them of that generation were VERY VERY soft, perhaps you might say too docile for their own good. I mean props to them for putting up one hell of a fight eventually against all odds. But they just weren't ruthless enough, and too many mistakes were made by the Igbo leadership (Ironsi and Ojukwu).

(3) This current generation of Igbos are NOT like our fathers and grandparents generations. We no get church mind like they did... we've studied and thoroughly reviewed every bits of our history and taken note of all the mistakes made... and are definitely smarter enough not to repeat them again. This generation of Igbos are ready to swing hands if you provoke us (physically or any how you want it), if we have to go down, then we ALL go down together. No be only una sabi craze.

(4) Going back to my earlier thesis of ALOT has changed in the course of history and time between the 60's and now, well for one the image of Nigeria isn't the same again before the world. Before the likes of Britain and Russia etc could easily support you militarily, now they actually want your break up. Secondly the terrible image of the Nigerian military with its records of human rights abuses is well known and documented before the international community, so except you rake out billions via oil revenues to buy weapons from foreign superpower nations, or make secret alliances with Islamic countries like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and the rest that have a decent nuclear war program and military... expect no Britain America, France etc or any Western nation to supply you with weapons if that civil war you threaten Igbos with eventually starts.

(5) Now this is the best and most important part, when that war begins... the ethnic participation won't be the same as 1967-70... the dynamics that have effected this facts aren't far-fetched. For one the region that played a very key role in the Nigerian civil war were the Middle belt region, they supplied the bulk of the fighting men during that war. Today the Middle belt have formed alliances with the Biafran secessionist groups, and we all know they have been worst hit by ethnic cleansing records from the core Islamic North, primarily by the Fulani herdsmen.

The South South minority groups that supported "One Nigeria" to fight against their Igbo brothers now probably despise the Nigerian system that has stolen its oil wealth and given them nothing, plus we now have more clamorings and agitations for Niger Delta republic already among several South South ethnic organizations... so they won't waste their time fighting for "One Nigeria" against the Igbos.

I doubt Yorubas will waste their time fighting for "One Nigeria" as many of them either want out, or are just "sitting on the fence" playing the cautious wait-and-see game that they see as sophistication or been strategic.. even though I see it as them been cowardly, lacking ideology or just grandstanding while others with an ideology take the bullets for what they also want.

Now we're left with the Core North... before every Igbo they are the true "enemy", and if an actual war is to happen in Nigeria along ethnic lines... the Igbos will definitely focus their attention on the core North for reasons we all know already.

So the million dollar question remains, who will fight this so called war against Biafra if that war does happen?
