Industrial Electrical Installation and Maintenance

OVERVIEW:
The course has been designed for candidates wanting a viable entry route into the electrical industry. The combination of real-world components and hands-on electrical wiring training allows learners to practice skills they will use on the job.

OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of the training course, the attendees will be able to:
 Identify a wide range of electrical equipment & devices and understand their principles of operation / connections
 Design and construct a direct on-line (DOL) starter
 Carry out an electrical installation of a building
 Interpretation of different types of drawings in a facility
 Safety requirements during installation, inspection and testing
 Access electrical enclosures and demonstrate how to replace fuses, reset overloads, protection relays, etc
 Use electrical test equipment effectively and carryout testing of a range of motors, solenoids, cables, etc.
 Carry out parameter logging for a typical Generator
 Carryout Installation of transmission and Distribution Lines
 Wiring of star Delta Starter for an electric motor
 Carry out battery assembly and connection in different configuration
 Remote and Local operation of variable speed drives
 Work with a range of cable types and carry out correct terminations and connections
 Cable sizing and installation
 The initial assessment of an installation before the design
 Design and drafting of different types of buildings
 Troubleshoot electrical equipments
