favor914: Is this not Nigeria again? Honest truth Obaseki can never win, not with President Buhari (APC) as sitting president, he will need at least 80% of the votes to force a run off, which is impossible, low voter’s turn out on September 19th, no one cares about Obaseki, because there is no one who can claim Obaseki did anything for them, he will be easily rigged out of Government house, the same way he was rigged into power in 2016.
Rubbish , so Buhari/APC govt no dey when PDP dey snatch APC strongholds left, right and centre. All of these happened under Oshiomole as party chairman.
Pastor in the broom wielding coven of winches called the Association of Past/Present Criminals, APC? No wonder they embraced the acid-throwing cultist and thief with open arms.
RuudVanNisteroy: Adams Oshiomhole told the world that Ize Iyamu was a cultist who was rusticated after he deformed another student by pouring acid on him and also a thief who looted the state dry when he was Secretary to the State Government, under convicted thief Lucky Igbinedion.
dre11: FLASHBACK: Oshiomhole once wanted building named after Obaseki for ‘selfless service’
Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), once said Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, worked for the state using his brain and creativity.
Oshiomhole, who praised the governor during the governorship campaign of 2016, said a building at the government house should be named after Obaseki for his selfless service.
Oshiomhole said while he was governor of Edo, Obaseki helped him build the economy team of the state with his network.
“I know my limit. He knows his limit. Godwin Obaseki has worked for seven and half years for the people of Edo state, using his brain, creativity, quietly, not making noise,” Oshiomhole said.
“He sits in the office of the economic team which he built using his network of friends inside the heart of government house without demanding one naira.
“A man like that who will not ask me to give him contracts, but will promise me, comrade, you just do the thinking, we will create the means to actualise your thoughts. And to his credit today, check the books of Edo state, we did not build new structures in government house with government money. That economic team office was built through Godwin’s network. Today, it remains a permanent asset of the state government.
“I want us to be calling that building Godwin Obaseki building. I don’t see your opponent Ize-Iyamu being able to say that. In 2007, check the records, Ize-Iyamu was hiding from EFCC. He didn’t not vote. How can somebody who didn’t vote claim that he made me.
“If you have to look at Godwin and his credentials and you look at a man whose only work, by his CV, was a student and rusticated for two years, he read law but he is not a barrister. That is his foundation. I never gave him government job. Lucky Igbinedion’s mother was reported to have slapped Ize-Iyamu for misleading her son. He tried it with me, but we kept him away. Nothing near government circle. No access to public funds.
“Look at the road to his house, in our books, was dual carriage way. They took the money, constructed the road to his house and stopped. Although we have liquidated the godfathers politically, the entire political family will be liquidated.”
favor914: Soo correct, bet my top Dollar, Obaseki will be disgraced come September 19th, Obaseki knows he is finished, and should have taken the Ambode Option as a man, as he who fights & runs away lives to fight another day, Obaseki is APC through & through, it is ludicrous & impossible to purport fighting the party that gave you power & expect to be victorious?, Oshiomhole will definitely forgive his man Obaseki, Shaibu is the ingrate that may have to move to Lokoja, or Ibadan.
favor914: Is this not Nigeria again? Have you been living under a rock with your eyes closed and ears blocked?
When you are done reading, kindly enumerate 10 things Oshiomole, Lucky, and by extension Ize Iyamu did for the same State while they held sway.
After that, do well to point out Obaseki's sins.
I honestly want to know what he did wrong. I am mon-partisan, whatever will grow Edo is all I'm up for.
Thanks.

Pls was these not part of the reason aonarch was dethroned in the North?
What of if Obaseki win I'm sure something strange to Edo monarch establushment might occur eventually because suspension and dethronement its inevitable.
Olichoke: On a different development, what's is the relationship between the Igarra people of Edo state and the Igala people of Kogi state? There is Attah of Igala and Atta Igu of Igarra people. I love studying histories and cultures. Kindly clarify me if you know their meeting points and departure points. Or is it a coincidence of names?
It is all just a coincidence in sounds. Atta Igu is different from Attah while Igala is different from Igarra.
I learned that the so called Traditional ruler is not recognised by his people of Igarra. They want Ize-Iyamu to recognise him because he is the father of Edo APC campaign chairman, John Mayaki. When young people don't want to live long, they allow power to becloud their reasoning faculty. To the point that they value their wishes more than the tradition of the land. EZIOBE is a minority group and they will remain minority in the land of Igarra. The former Chief of staff to Obaseki is from this same minority group of Igarra. You guys understand why EZIOBE is mentioned and not the people of IGARRA. I got this response from an indigene of Igarra on FB
Whoever gave you this information fed you with lies. There are 15 kindreds in Igarra and nine of them make up Eziobes while five make up Eziezus with the 15th one being neither of them. Eziobes are therefore the majority and they recognize the Otu of Igarra while Eziezus recognize their own head separately. That is how Igarra operates. The person who gave you the information above is obviously of the Eziezu stock. Please refer to page 36 of Last week Monday edition of The Nation Newspaper to see the facts set straight in response to a publication of lies which the Eziezus made and this person picked his point from.

It's really helpful to get to read both sides of a story, especially when it comes to politicking. Thanks for posting.
