World Suicide Prevention Day is an awareness day observed on 10 September every year, in order to provide worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides, with various activities around the world since 2003.

This day is organised by the International Association for Suicide Prevention.

Staying at home, low physical activity, less socialising and unexpected changes in the way everything works has made it important to highlight suicide prevention.

Suicide rates have been increasing gradually to the extent that it has become one of a major cause of death worldwide.

Suicidal reactions may vary from anger, distress, ridicule, anxiety, tension, fear, sadness, or any intentional determination to end one's life.

SIGNS OF SUICIDE YOU MUST NOT IGNORE

Talking about feeling trapped or alone
Giving away personal possessions or making a will
Saying they have no reason to go on living
