Lapo had ridden with a very high pile of woods from the main street and cornered sharply into the third street, the mould held unto the wheels throwing him into a tumble, only a few passerby had lifted his wrecked body out of the mould when Lampopo arrived with the other men, they had taken the fourth street for a safer and faster arrival because of the mouldy third street, they ended up getting there later than presumed. Two men drove him to the medicine centre at once, Lampopo did not go with them, he shook his head three times while they took him away and urged the other men to work with him.
‘That’s terrible, you think he is going to make it?’
Lampopo looked away, avoiding the question. He ambled tiredly to a side and took a shovel. Others quietly joined him to move the mould.
‘Men, step on it, we have to finish before another person dies.’ He lamented later.
‘How did you know that he is dead?’
He kept quiet on the question again and resumed to work with a greater strength. News came to them before evening that Lapo was dead. Everyone shot an eye at Lampopo at once.
His treads that day went up and down in lethargy, Lapo was one of the elderly men that had wit and substance in abundance, he sold woods and took delight while doing it even after haven lost his wife and two kids to the wars of the giants and hobbits many years ago, he loved how resilient he had been while living.
