Can A Court Order Be Issued For Crypto Transaction Gone Wrong? by MaroonBlue(m): 5:28pm On Sep 11, 2020 |
Good evening dearest Nairalanders. I'm so not a good writer, so please pardon my error cos I really do need your cogent advice I made a transaction yesterday with a guy who in turn sent me a flash coin. ps: (flash coin is a fake type of coin that appears in your wallet and disappear after a while it's not traceable on the blockchain cos it never existed) So, the transaction was in bits but totalling to a sum of 1.1m naira, which I paid for but after a while the coin disappeared. I called my bank immediately and told them of the business gone wrong and they told me they would send a mail as regards that to the beneficiaries account. During this whole time I the scammer guy didn't reply my messages and all means to reach him proved abortive. I've never had suicidal thoughts until yesterday because it wasn't even my money. The guy who owns the money is sending me threats left and right. So I think the account was placed on hold, this morning the scammer replied my messages telling me how sorry he was and he admitted he sent a flash coin and all and he promised to go to the bank today but I've not heard anything from him again. so I went to the bank and they informed my that they've restricted his account. I was advised to get a court order to make the process faster. I'm not feeling good right now.... I really do feel like dying. Now I know what people who result to suicide do feel before they take actions so the question is given the recent circumstances and the position of CBN on Crypto can a court order be issued and what does it costs to get a court order? insults are welcomed too cos I believe some persons are so smart that they can never make mistakes. But pls your advice is really needed and what other options can I take to recover my money. CC: lalasticlala mynd44

My 37th comment on if you don't know who you are dealing with one on one, don't send that money.. my brother I can not make that mistake oo am very perfect when it comes to online transaction. most Of the Nigeria business site you see on social media are all fake... they are just there to scam you.. I won't say much because another maga will still get fake alert from customer tomorrow he will allow the scammer to leave his store before checking if the alert was fake or not. another maga will send money to a scammer that is not your family member or a friend you can go and knock his house door with sars. What do I know self.. You guyz should stop making this businesses lucrative for this scammers pls 2 Likes |

If you make the payment to a bank account, just get a court order . You will surely get your money back. It can't more than #15k depends on the amount of the money and the lawyer that will process it for you. 1 Like |

MaroonBlue:ok, thank God the account is now restricted now.. Don't ever listen to his pleas, request you meet him to sort it out or he send the real coin or you take the case up which he won't like.. 1 Like |

MaroonBlue:if you have the scammer's bank account number details just follow up through efcc and if you later need a court order they will let you know but #200k.is too much. Neglect the lawyer side for now if it is too expensive, just follow up with efcc. Likewise cpd of central bank. |

Welllock: Thanks sir.... we're still on it he said he went to the bank and gave a written instructions to refund the money but they told him it will be done in 3 business working days I really don't know how true that is |
Re: Can A Court Order Be Issued For Crypto Transaction Gone Wrong? by MaroonBlue(m): 5:49am On Sep 12, 2020 |
azelab: Yeah please how do I go about that sir? and given the current stand of the CBN on Crypto currently cos I heard that banks should close any account that's trading on crypto. so I really do not know what it'll look like if I do involve the cpd of CBN |
Re: Can A Court Order Be Issued For Crypto Transaction Gone Wrong? by azelab: 11:39am On Sep 12, 2020 |
MaroonBlue: I didn't know anything about the crypto rules concerning the CBN sir. But concerning the efcc , you will write two different copies of petition letter and attach all the supporting documents , then summit it to the nearest efcc office . I would advise you to wait till that three days if the scammer would fulfil his promise but it is advisable you engage efcc if nothing is done after the three days. They won't charge you anything and you will surely get all your money back. Also consult the scammer's bank on Twitter to verify if the scammer has written the refund agreement letter and if so ginger the bank to refund you, though they will still ask for all the supporting documents to be scanned to them. 1 Like |

Since the funds are already restricted, just have the guy sign an undertaking with a trusted police man involved. Let him also get a surety along. He won't dare default once his account is unfrozen because he will be playing with fire. Don't u restrict his account based on a hear-say undertaking, it should be done physically in your presence, with witnesses present 1 Like |

MaroonBlue:Wait for the 3 days first. If you don't receive it, then take it to the EFCC or visit the bank instead. Don't waste money consulting the services of any lawyer, since the money is not even yours. 1 Like |
