In a bid to save costs, people employ the services of quacks to build their homes just because they feel paying an architect will be too expensive. These professions are there for a reason. To get the building approval of anything bigger than a bungalow you need the architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings and calculation sheets approved. Great work is put in by these professionals to ensure the structural integrity of the final structure.

But trust Nigerians always wanting the quick and cheapest way out. This is the end result of that negligence.

Hundreds of people die in the Kano villages every rainy season. . Houses collapsing as a result of heavy rains. The problem is that most of the inhabitants are very wealthy locals who will rather live an obscure lifestyle because they see modernisation as a big Haram and as such willfuly refused to biuld modern houses.. So, walking through the villages on a normal day , what you will see are able young men working on mud to biuld mud houses! While flashy cars are parked outside! Sometimes, they even construct mud upstairs since according to them, cave existence is the surest path to paradise! It also proved countless times to be the surest path death..
