We are talking about very harsh economy due to devastating effects of CoVID19 and all....

There is inevitable increase in Tax, electricity tarrif , PMS and all...

Now, how do Government mitigate against all these effects Is it not by cutting down the cost of governance that we are all talking is too bogus and extravagant before this pandemic

Rather, they have chosen to create new agency, new directors, new board members, new office space, new operational vehicles and other infrastructure....NEW WAYS OF MORE SPENDING SPREE!!!

So sad!!!

It is kinda necessary to organize the proceeds of anti corruption. I think it will go along way to help satinze and anti corruption agencies and keep track of all proceeds rather than sm individuals. It’s a welcomed development.

It was clear from 2015 that the man in charge of this government lacked the rudimentary knowledge of governance and despite contesting for many years, showed zero tact, ideas and strategy when he eventually took the mantle. Yet some people voted him again in 2019 just for parochial reasons. How can you use a problem as solution to another problem. Who does that?

Another office and chance for some set of people to steal money, the economy is hard in stead of cutting down cost of governance. We shall survive..
Re: FG Approves Creation Of New Anti-Corruption Agency by AerialMapper: 8:38am On Sep 17, 2020
Yet another agency which will be staffed and incur overheads maybe much greater than the proceeds of the corruption

We are talking about implementing Orosanye's report and we are still creating new agencies!!!

Who bewitched this country? Anyway, name the Northern DG of the agency so we can rest

When we say Government should create jobs...we are not saying duplicate or triplicate jobs. This is what a single agency can do...you already have EFCC, ICPC and the likes. Why new anti-graft agency Have you forgotten Orosanye's report on multiplicity of agencies causing ineffectiveness and wastage If you want to create job, create a new productive job line.

I am still patiently waiting for when this administration will cut the cost of governance and boom they increase it further
Those people calling the administration clueless are not far from it
Re: FG Approves Creation Of New Anti-Corruption Agency by mofebosola(m): 10:17am On Sep 17, 2020
It is not the number of these agencies that matter but the effectiveness. How many years have we had JAMB in Nigeria and what effect do we have from that agency until the current helmsman (Prof Ishaq Oloyede) came on board and changed the whole contraption? So if not for his doggedness and resolve to make a difference, may be government would have thought of creating agencies for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education admission boards.

Didn't you read the allegation this morning from Itse Sagay that a highly placed lawyer in government circle is the one putting sand sand in the jollof rice of crime fighting in Nigeria? So create fifty agencies, they will still frustrate the effectiveness of all.

But put the right people in the few ones we have, we will be up there in terms of achievement.

This is what we need in our darling nation at the moment :

Institute DEATH PENALTY to proven THEFT OF PUBLIC FUNDS no matter how little, and LIFE Jail Sentences for COLLABORATORS.

And to be nice and not too harsh,
Let us include the below....

Reduce current ALL Political Office Holders PAY CHEQUES by 51.5%, without exception.

Do away with special remuneration to POLITICAL ADVISERS & PUBLIC SERVANTS e.g; Purchase of Private Vehicles, Houses, granting Govt paid Vacations, paying for 1st & Business Class Transportations, etc, etc...

Abolish payment of OVERSEAS MEDICAL BILLS for Political Office Holders.

Eliminate PRIVATE PRACTICE in public workforce.

Eliminate participation of Public Workforce in Partisan Politics.

Institute EMPLOYMENT BY MERIT, and eliminate UNDEREMPLOYMENT.

Review and eliminate allocation of Govt paid POLITICAL AIDES & SUPPORT STAFF to Political Office Holders.

Finally,
Move Nigeria MORE to Private Sector Driven Economy

One of the many reasons we voted in this Government.
Nigeria will be great again in our lifetime...... we will keep believing in her.

We Rise!

Meanwhile,
We came across this bizarre news below early this morning.
We are still trying to confirm how true this is.
We will keep you posted......

The best way to eliminate or reduce corruption in this our so dear country is not establishing new agencies but to reduce the remunerations from the government agencies by some percentage, secondly, you are to merge those agencies together since their work is similar and abolish the useless ones. Lastly, anyone that is involved in the corrupt act should be sentence to life imprisonment depending on the offense or better still death sentence. Thanks.

The foolishness of our government and the cost of governance in Nigeria is irritating. Why do we need this agency when we have ICPC and EFCC?

The National Assembly should simply shoot down the bill or KIV the bill. It is unncessary duplication of functions due to inefficient and ineffective leadership.

They could as well create another Agency to monitor the agency on recovery of proceeds of crime and another to Agency to invest the money. When you have ineffective or inefficient leadership in any department, you sack them or replace them. You don't keep them there and start creating departments to monitor or share their duties. It will amount to share waste of resources without any hope of positive results.

How do you correct inefficiencies By creating multi-agencies with almost similar job That's wastage Orosanye's report talks about. Collapse all agencies, rejig, reorientate, retrain if possible to deliver the very best you are looking for. Not creating multiple agencies doing the same job and at the long run, they are all useless!

Orosanye report saying you should close down some agencies is not an argument for not opening news if needs be or gaps exist.

The skills required for optimally managing and selling assets will not exist under the EFCC, Police, ICPC or DSS.
