Please try to be fair. Remember that Emelfield was appointed by Goodluck Jonathan and has been retained for 5 years by Buhari.

There was no obligation for the New Government in 2015 to retain a PDP CBN Governor. I think for whatever reason Buhari has has shown maturity and was magnanimous.

Your comment is totally unfair , insensitive, uncharitable and diabolical.

Quit.

Emefiele is an "oh yes" man. That's why the cabal insisted he remained. It had nothing to do with any magnanimity. Besides, the north had no competent person who would be permeable at the same time to fit into that position.

Brilliant northerners (as few as they may be) are some of the most difficult people to bend. SLS is a good example. And no matter how nepotistic a government is, certain offices must be manned by very sound professionals.

Emefiele has been a very loyal CBN governor to Buhari and his Cabal which is very bad for the country. Maybe they have now zeroed in on a northerner they can trust. So its time for Godwin to go.

I'm not surprised... Most southern leaders stink of corruption due to over civilization... They never put the country and it's people first in what they do... They are always after their own illegal gains once they occupy public office... And once they are caught, the foolish southern people and it's media arm start playing ethnicity card and organising paid protests. Funny enough, you hardly hear of northerns coming to defend any northerner accused and being tried for corruption..

Look at the roads in the south and compare to the north... Just compare the infrastructural development in the north to the south... We are acting intelligent in the south while our political leaders rob us blind and turn us against the north... We produced presidents for 16 years out of the last 21 years... But go and look at Ore Abeokuta road where Obasanjo is from...the one who likes to write letters...

Go and look at Benin Warri road with all the oil revenue being received there and countless billions approved for them and siphoned by southern politicians while our people keep dying like flies in road accidents, while looking to the north as their source of problem.

Only Yar Adua, a Northerner pursued Nigeria's interest with zeal... But death cut him short... Buhari would have done greater things for Nigeria if not for the fall in revenue arising from crude oil price crash, together with the crowd of thieves surrounding him.

Sanusi too, a northerner occupied that CBN seat and made life easier for Nigerians with different monetary policies... He eliminated nonsensical ATM charges and many other fraudulent bank charges used by banks to legally steal from customers...

But our southern man Emiefele has climbed that seat now and he reintroduced bank charges, atm charges and so many others... because he's a capitalist and capitalism is fueled by greed and corruption in underdeveloped country like Nigeria where institutions are weak and checkmates can be easily maneuvered....

We will be ready to move forward when we start hanging looters in this country.

Thank you.
I sadly do agree with you, totally!

The northerners have the defence structure in their palms and need minimal media support for theirs. They simply go to the police station and release theirs. Maina's case is still fresh in memory. El Rufai paid killers. A former CBN top man says governors were pointed out as BH sponsors and we know it will end with phone calls.

Rubbish. Northerners have been CBN Governors before any southerner became one. The first indigenous CBN governor in Nigeria was a Northerner (1963-1967) and they have not performed below the southerners that normally have fake certificates.

Borrow a 1000 Naira note if you don’t have one. The pictures and information on it will help you.

Keeping looking to the north as the source of your problems while your southern leaders impoverish southern lands via reckless and senseless looting...

Joshua Dariye of Plateau got 14 years
Jolly Nyame of Taraba got 14 years
James Bala Ngilari of Adamawa got 5 years

They are from the north... Show me protests of northerns against their conviction... Show me where they are being praised and honoured today in the north for their corruption.

Lucky Igbinedion got 6 months for looting 25 billion... He paid 3.5 million instead of going to jail.

James Ibori was convicted in the UK for looting $250 million... Convert it to naira... He could not be captured and tried in Nigeria and in the south where he perpetrated the looting... Today he's free and back in the streets of Delta, being praised daily, and anointing political leaders all over the state while the development and infrastructure in Delta state remain an eyesore compared to the revenue they've gotten over the years.

Diepreye Alamieyesegha of Bayelsa also followed the same part... Convicted for looting 3.5 billion but able to get plea bargain to serve a ridiculous penalty for the crime he committed while Bayelsa state, the richest state in the south in terms of oil revenue, remains the poverty capital of southern Nigeria with dilapidated infrastructures everywhere in their state.

I don't need to tell you that the north is not your problem.

Keep looking to them as the cause of your problem.

If eventually Nigeria splits up, we'll see the region that has the infrastructure to support growth and development in an era where oil revenue is becoming more worthless than tissue paper.

You're on your own sir.

...people that follow the economic policy of the FG (Buhari's Admin) will tell you that CBN and Emefeile are the Judas of our time, his policy is never inline with the FG Economic Council, if you can remember the devaluation saga, the loan interest rate issue with Adeosun which later lead to the VP initiating traders moni and the likes independently away from the banks and CBN, the dollar floating policy, the recent interest rate issue with bank operator. all these are just a few of many sabotage moves of Emefeile lead CBN.
