In yet another exclusive encounter with Asabe Afrika TV, early in the week, COMRADE ADEOLA SAMUEL ILORI, National Coordinator, ALL ELECTRICITY CONSUMER PROTECTION FORUM, an advocacy group that arbitrate between consumers and service providers in the Nigerian power sector industry spoke on the recent September 1st, 2020 obnoxious increment of electricity bill for Nigerians across board after the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC) have earlier denied such plan.

The increment is quite on the high side as many Nigerians who are still smarting from the Covid 19 pandemic post-lock-down economic experience saw the situation as a kill-and-go decision by the democratic government of Nigeria.

Comrade Ilori explains why the decision is not only inhuman but highly fraudulent in nature considering the economic situation of vulnerable Nigerians.
