I'm curious to know coz I've heard stories where power outages ruin ps4 ...coz Nepa just carried light for the first time while I was playing... do some of you connect it direct and something happened or I'm just being paranoid?

It's not compulsory to use a UPS but just in case for safety of your HDD

what would happen to the hdd...i don't want any hitch on it..

Ive always used invertrt at home and at work, considering my consoles are playing morning till night, ive hardly had issues

i just put it on...and as i feared it my game save keeps crashing when i reach checkpoint...how do i fix it

if the power outage was while the game was saving then start all over again the game save is corrupted but if otherwise the hdd needs to be formatted...just format it ...

i just rebuilt data base and reinstalled the game and it's working perfectly, albeit i had to start again...
got myself a flashdrive so i backup my save files next time

i tout as much meanwhile try and get a uPs .... but since u have a flash drive for backup u r food to go !

Who tell you say e go spoil ,if you've truly own a ps4 in this country then you'll know your files can get corrupted if it keeps going off by itself.
The easiest way to deal with this is to backup your saved game files to a flash drive.

bro what i asked is a question.. I didn't state a fact.. i own a ps4 ..but i heard stories where people say power outages ruin their ps4 "power board" or something like that...i totally agree with the ruining save files ..but can it also damage the HDD

If light goes off when your game is saving it's progress instantly your HDD will crash and you'll have to format it to be able to play your PS4 again

Then if a power surge happens your ps4 go blow flat

Blue gate UPS going off by itself is pretty true

2 of mine has had that fault before but me I don't know better so I still buy other variant of blue gate UPS

i searched online and was told any ups i would get should have a pure sinewave ...so its power flow is always constant..mercury has a modified(not pure) sinewave...and a guy i know uses the 650va mercury UPS to power his game shop...it powers 2 to 3 consoles and 8/10 it powers the console when Nepa cuts the light long enough for him to switch to gen

1 thing to consider is that you just need it to power your console and TV long enough to switch to gen or save and turn it off

Buy any ups as toks, like 4k,buy 2 batteres or 1 depending on which it uses, thats how to get good ups for cheap, less than 10k instead of 30kish.

Ups going off has got to be a protective mechanism...
