According to God's word, it's women that can be deceived into doing what they ought not do {1Timothy 2:14} but man only do things that he has been nursing in his heart {James 1:14-15} all he needed is the support of someone to forge ahead.
That's the import of the popular adage "behind every successful man, there is a woman" of course nobody hates success but it requires not just the effort of one person {Ecclesiastes 4:9} that's why God created the woman to support the man {Genesis 2:18} Unfortunately women are weak in the face of deceit! 1Peter 3:7

So Muhammad Ali was not deceived in anyway, he chose the religion that soothes the kind of person he is on the inside {Romans 7:23} just as billions of people are doing till now.
The one and only TRUE Religion doesn't go down well with any human because we are all born sinners {Roman 3:23} we must make effort {Luke 13:24} to put away the old personality in us {Romans 6:6; Ephesians 4:22; Colossians 3:9} in order to put on the new personality that was created in God's image! Ephesians 2:24; Colossians 3:10
