His trial wouldn't have mattered. Apc as a party has really strong hold in Lagos. If u live in Lagos u will know this. Pdp is not visible in Lagos; they only come alive few months to election. Honestly PDP is not a serious party in Lagos.

APC hold ward meetings every week ; I think Thursday evenings or so....You will see elderly men and women along with the youth holding such meetings on a weekly basis discussing their party's progress all year long. PDP on the other hand are always nowhwre to be found, they only come alive few months to election and start pasting posters and expect people to them serious.


If any PDP top executive is reading this they should know that they need to really start their homework early in Lagos if they want to take the state off Tinubu's hands come next election. Some of us would like to see what Lagos would be under another party other than Tinubu's APC but PDP aren't leaving us much choice.

So in answer to Op's topic Ambode moving to another party few weeks to election wouldn't have helped him in any way....Lagos is not Edo in any way

Ambode contested the DIRECT Primaries of the APC but was defeated.
As a loyal party man, he accepted the result in good faith and even told his supporters to vote for the choice of the party. That is the matured and civilized expected behavior of a true democrat.

That's how it's done in matured democracies. He has a brighter political future than someone whose actions shows he can't be loyal if things don't go his ways.

No way. Lagos state has a progressive blueprint for development so if Ambode switch to any that is not based on the ideology led by APC Yoruba in Lagos, even Lagosian will not vote for him. Was not a politician before and would have been impeached. They left him last last as he had dirt on Tinubu.

Exactly. Who knows what might have happened. Bear in mind not everyone in Lagos APC is behind Tinubu. Some would have followed Ambode to APC, others would have supported him quietly from within APC. For a serving governor to not even put up a fight is just tragic

I agree with the first paragraph of your comments. However, I would want to ask if you are by anyway referring to Obaseki by your comments in the last paragraph. If Yes, then you are wrong.
