Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Barr. Anselm Ojezua, the Edo state chairman of APC [/b]said the result of the election has vindicated his position that Oshiomhole’s dictatorial attitude will lead to the downfall of the party in the state.
I think the [b]position of Edo APC, prior to the disqualification of Governor Godwin Obaseki has been vindicated.
Before that, the Edo APC had already reached a consensus with Obaseki as the candidate but Oshiomhole thought otherwise”.

While calling on the party leadership to sanction Oshiomhole, Ojezua said members of the APC in Edo may be forced to review their membership of the party if disciplinary action is not taken against the former Edo state governor.

“He abused his office as National chairman, pushed the governor out of the party and you can see that the beneficiary is now PDP.
The result of his illegal actions is what we witnessed today. I don’t see how APC can recover from this”.

“Oshiomhole factionalised the party, created a faction in the name of EPM, brought a candidate from outside the party and forced him down the throat of the party. They campaigned without the party behind them and they expected to win. This is the result”.

“That was why I said I will not speak until after the election and now I have been vindicated. If I spoke before the election, they will say it is anti-party. Now we know who has done anti-party”.

"Honestly, if the party does not do anything to sanction Oshiomhole, then we in Edo APC will have to review our membership of that party, because we gave notice, we warned the party, we petitioned the leadership; there is nothing we did not do to salvage the situation within the last 15 to 18 months”.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has rejected the outcome of Saturday's Edo Governorship, in which incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki was declared winner.

Igbere TV had on Sunday reported how Obaseki, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, secured 307,955 votes to defeat Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the APC candidate, who got 223, 619 votes.

In a statement forwarded to Igbere TV, Sunday, the APC alleged foul play in election, but called on party members to stay calm "while party leaders study the result and decide what is next."

In the statement signed by the Chairman of the APC Media Campaign Council, Mr. John Mayaki, rejecting the result, the APC cited alleged strong arm tactics.

"Our people were arbitrarily arrested, many of the figures were fabricated," said the terse statement, which the party said was only a preliminary reaction.

It further alleged illicit tampering with results, to shore up PDP numbers and mark down APC's.

"Areas where we won, they cancelled them.  They decreased the votes in areas we had advantage," the party further claimed. "They rejected our results and jerked up theirs."

Meanwhile, the party also claimed there was arbitrary arrest of local party members, who could have resisted the outrage, while Governor Godwin Obaseki was busy diverting attention with false alarm.

"Obaseki shouted that he was being rigged out and blamed INEC at the initial stage but that was to divert attention from the evil going on in the field", the statement said.

The party, however, told its members to stay calm, thanking them for their support, and adding that party leaders were studying the result and would announce their decision and course of action as soon as possible.

if anyone is myopic in view here, then it’s you. It’s glaring that 2023 presidency would be a contest between two devils. I respect political apathy a lot. Nigeria factor has reduced our political system to be between two major parties( A vote for any party aside Apc or Pdp is void) Buhari can pass well for Nigeria’s worst leader( Atiku in this context is not exonerated) but as it stands, if I have to choose between the two devils up there, Atiku would be a better pick. Buhari’s failed us obviously. 2015 election results didn’t portray Buhari a messiah. We only needed anyone but Jonathan.

You dont have to chose between Buhari and Atiku, Buhari is never going to be on the Ballot again! (as a "Dr.", l would expect you to know that, really are you truly a 'Doctor'? ) Buhari is on his second term already.
The choice which l pointed out to you in my previous post, has to do with having a Southerner President or a Northerner President (again), in 2023.
Voting PDP in 2023 (and by extension, Voting Atiku) means the North will rule for 16yrs uninterrupted, we can all see the disaster the current Northerner has brought on Nigeria (something you also alluded to!), with over two years to go!
How can you not be able to process that, in the context of recent Buhari's Govt Policies, and you call yourself a "Doctor"?
