Osho baba will always have my respect all day every day. Sad that whenever a great leader goes through some rough patch, even those beneath him would have the guts to say all sorts. Buhari could have lost three times prior to 2015, does that make him irrelevant?. He brought Obaseki out of obscurity & for which he would forever be indebted to Oshiomole. Obaseki will never come close to Osho's political landmarks. When Obaseki ends his tenure, he would go back to being a school boy just like Peter Obi.

So called godfathers must realise their relevance is determined by the servile attitude of those looking up to them.

Oshio started overrating himself after his 18/18 LGs second term victory. Regretfully, that second term was spent amassing wealth and on the white elephant project of a new University in his hometown even while the old state owned university, only a few kilometres away, was crying for an infrastructural upgrade.

Pride goeth before a fall and a haughty spirit before destruction.

Yes, voter apathy stems from the realization by electorates that their votes don't count and the violence that characterize many elections in the country.

Imagine only about 25% of registered voters came out to vote.

NURTW is the 4rd Arms of Government in Lagos State, they are major instruments during every election , if you want to reduce Tinubu influence in Lagos state, complete that rail project and regulate the activities of the Agberos in Lagos.

What I love about this election is that Edo State has opened the eyes of all Nigerians to know that election is all about the candidate and not the party. We Nigerians will learn how to make your votes speak for you without violence.

I honestly hail the FG for giving Edo State an opportunity to showcase their mindset without any interruption. No one expected the shocker that the election will be so peaceful and now the we can all see that when some reckless politicians depend on federal might, Buhari has brought a stepping stone to democracy just like GEJ

Oshopikin has been exposed as an inconsequential loud mouth.

Lost APC chairman position fighting Obaseki

Lost his political relevance in Edo

What a way to retire a braggart!

Here are the constants: Any side Obaseki is on, wins. Any party with Ize-Iyamu as flagbearer loses. The winner gets 13 LGAs, the loser gets only five LGAs. It did not matter what side Oshiomhole was on, the winners and losers remained the same.
What an interesting record for Adams Oshiomole.

Peter Obi is not begging you for an appointment. He has his life to live. He has his vision. You hv not yet axhieved a fraction of what he achieved. And unlike other politicians, he is not desperate for office or power

How can u conduct election during rainy season and expect the person with umbrella (PDP) to lose against the person with broom (APC)??

The issue is Oshomoile should have recuse himself from the campaign process including BAT these men already has negative goodwill cause the way Obaseki and Ambode was treated.

Precisely, 1,176,496 people with PVCs refused to vote on election day. The minority decided who runs the state for the next four years.
Voter apathy has become a recurring decimal across national and sub-national elections in Nigeria. This election only reinforced this position.

This is terrible for our politics, especially with those who refuse being the greatest wailers for dividends of democracy. Democracy that they did not work for. Sowed nothing but want to reap something. Are they also thieves like the politicians they criticise?

Would the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) be doing anything about voter apathy? Your guess is better than ours.

Why should INEC do anything about it?
Moghalu, Ezekwesili, Utomi, Durotoye, Sowore and the other jobless noisemakers should do that from now with massive sensitisation schemes instead of being emergency candidates six months to the elections.

This brought the memories of a time during my undergraduate studies where one boy called senator Pope, the then SSS secretary in delsu thought he could impose a lady candidate called Jessica Anenene on us during our SUG presidential election but failed woefully just like Oshiomhole.

On many occasions we fail to seek the right direction and eventually leads to constant failure and I belief next time Ize Iyamu will calm down and seek divine direction.

maramara:
"Election no be war, Edo no be Lagos". Maramara 2020. Obaseki beat them all back to back despite all the godfathers (Tinubu, Oshomhole). If God is for you, nobody can be against you. Destiny always point to the right direction. Pastor needs to go back to God and be sure of where he belongs.

The apathy in Nigeria's elections is getting two much. Come to think of it how can barely 530,000 people decide the future of a State with over 5 million. 10% of the State is determine the future of 100% of the State's residents. A western observer would assume they're disenfranchised but we all know it's because majority Nigerians no longer trust the government/politicians be ye APC or PDP. This is bad. Average turnout for an election should be 67%(2/3). Anything short of that shows apathy, higher figures show a good democratic governance interested citizenry and that is how we want Nigeria's election to be like.

NIGERIA MUST BE GREAT AGAIN. GOD HELP US

Once again, congrats to Mr. Godwin Obaseki
The reason is that Edo were thinking that with boast of Oshomole INEC and federal might were going to favour Pastor.. So instead Of coming out to vote for PDP, they feel it will be a waste of time... we never knew that INEC was going to be upright this time around

Just know one thing for sure, the only difference between apc and pdp is there name. They are the same people. The same ambition (rooting). Let me explain, if for instance one of the big weight like buhari or tinibu pulled out of the apc, and form a more powerful party, the remaining apc you go and form alliance with pdp to challenge them. Secondly, if for instance, we the youths realized how we have been used by these same old cargos in the name of apc and pdp and form a very strong political party strong enough to dethrone them, the next thing you will hear is for them to start campaigning against us that we the youths are fraudstars that we have nothing to offer or them forming alliance (APD) to fight us. Am very tired of hearing the news of this apc and pdp. We the youths need to wake up and fight before it's too late.
