Official registration of beneficiaries into the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSMEs) Survival Fund opened on Monday 21 September, 2020.

The MSME Survival Fund initiative is a special programme the Federal Government launched to give financial support to businesses that suffered under the COVID-19 pandemic in Nigeria.

At least 1.7 million Nigerians who own businesses have the opportunity to benefit from the money, according to reliable sources.

Before you apply for the MSME Survival Funds, here are five things you must know:

1. When Did The Registration Portal Open?

The registration portal opened by 10pm Nigerian time on Monday 21 September,  2020. So, people can now register.

Meanwhile, the federal government wants only one category of people to register on this date. These are people who fall under the "payroll support" category.

2. What Is Payroll Support?

This category is for business owners who could not pay their staff salary in the past three months.

The unpaid salary should range between N30,000 and N50,000 monthly.

The Federal government is ready to help 500,000 business owners who belong to this category across the country.

However, it said, for one business or one company, not more than 10 people/staff would benefit from the fund.

3. Any Registration Timetable?
