No right thinking person should have any ground to sue against anything arising from the Edo election.Strangely, it's one of the most generally peaceful except for some pockets of skirmishes.The certificate issues are totally non issue.

Your talk is purely sentimental. But unfortunately, sentiments and opinions have no place in law. You can't put/build legality on illegality and expect it to stand in the eyes of the law.

APC can push for Obaseki's disqualification based on discrepancies in his certificate(s). They can win (the Bayelsa case readily comes to mind) and heavens will not fall.

Section 133(3) of the Electoral Act 2011 as amended states that an election petition tribunal must be set up not later than 2 weeks before the election.

So this panel had been constituted since September 10, 2020 for both Edo & Ondo States...this is like a reminder.

Hence, whether there is going to be a petition or not...It has to be constituted.

This is good for democracy. Let the aggrieved party goes to the tribunal and vet his grievances there instead of resorting to self help.
