For many blacks, the line between police brutality and their suffering in the COVID-19 pandemic is not trivial. The Associated Press analysis of state and local data shows that considering the proportion of the population that blacks make up, they are dying much faster than expected. One study found that blacks who seek testing or treatment for COVID-19 are six times more likely to be rejected than whites.
