ZooOga: Thanks for sharing. I have been trying to tell Nigerians that trump does not want Black people moving to the United States anymore and at the same time wants to frustrate the blacks who are citizens of the U.S with police brutality and immense racism but Nigerians in Nigeria don't get it. Watch what's going to happen in the next coming years in America. America is turning into a fascist state and even some white Americans are afraid and looking for countries they can migrate to. We are indeed living in interesting times. 4 Likes |

The US and most countries in Europe are aware of Nigeria's imminent disintegration. These policies are preemptive contingencies should that happen to avoid a refugee crisis in their country. Should Nigeria eventually implode without peaceful dialogue, it is estimated that over 60 million refugee applicants will be at Europe or America's shores, knocking. |

Philipponzaghi:Talking nonsense because you’re clueless about US. Overstays apply to B1/B2 visas while students get F1 visas with no overstay limit once you’re enrolled in school. |

BigIyanga: You cannot be well versed in the USA more than I do so be humble. Yes you’re right that F-1 visa don’t overstay their limit because as long as you maintain your current student status on your I-20 you can remain in the USA legally. But what about if you finish school and not get job after using the F-1 OPT for the first year? The problem can be compounded if you’re not STEM OPT with 3 year limit so technically you will be out of status and there are lot of Nigerians on that table. Also I think Trump is looking into actually sending Nigerians back home to renew their F-1 visa because our stamp always carry 1.5 years for masters and sometimes 2years. So now he doesn’t even want student to remain in USA after their visa expires but he want them to go back to renew their visa in Nigeria and get back to USA for reasons best known to him. Mind you, I graduated from one of the universities here! |

Kriss216: What a stupid ignorant statement. First of all: Buhari was NOT responsible for Boko Haram; he was in fact targeted and bombed by Boko Haram in a failed attempt to assassinate him for criticising them. Secondly, since taking over he had successfully pushed and restricted their activity to roughly only one state (Borno) compared to his predecessor (Jonathan) who could not even keep them out of our national capital (Abuja) where they were able to easily bomb the UN building without difficulty; and when asked why he was soft on the terrorists, he would come up with his famous lame excuse that they were his siblings and wouldn't want to wipe out his family. Thirdly, there is nowhere in the article where the president or Boko Haram/terrorism was cited as reason for the visa restriction but clearly due to OVERSTAY i.e. staying beyond approved visa limit by over 10 % of Nigerian entrants into the USA (majority most likely your Blodas). Lastly, try to read and comprehend before commenting lest you allow your blind hatred turn you into an unintentional public fool. 1 Like |
