Over the years, out of desperation to get results as quickly as possible, people have told themselves different myths about weight loss. Some of them sound reasonable. Others sound absolutely ridiculous. Unfortunately, many people on the receiving end of those myths end up believing them. After all, we all just want a little bit of hope.

But, if you truly want to lose weight, you cannot place your entire effort on myths about weight loss. Doing so will probably lead you down a path of disappointment as you might not get the results you hope for. As such, to help put your expectations in order, here are six myths about weight loss with little to no truth in them.

You only need an extremely intense workout to lose weight 

This is entirely untrue as there are other ways for you to lose weight besides subjecting your body to intense workout routines. If you truly want to lose weight and stay healthy, you need to make little adjustments to your lifestyle and then stick to them long-term. Intense fitness routines might work. However, they aren’t always sustainable for non-athletes.
