You’re right bros, Imagine you buy a car you can't afford on a loan, so you rent out the car as a taxi, you use the proceeds of the taxi to pay the loan and also make some money on the side paying yourself a fixed salary as a driver.

Glazers may have spent some money upfront but over the course of their ownership have surely extracted money from the club rather than spend on it.

I'm not aware of the exact debt United had pre takeover but like Madrid, it was nothing that couldn't be serviced.
