It Is Frustrating When People Appointed To Public Offices Do Not Even Know The Extent Of Their Powers. Buhari And His Appointments Are Just A Shame On Nigeria. When A Whole IGP Does Not Know His Powers And Limitations, Why Wont Police Officers Arrest People Who Have Done Nothing Wrong.

Well... The IGP should be sanctioned. But, disengaging those personnel is actually not in the interest of the nation unless of course its proven that those engaged are not Nigerian.

Conflict of interest in the name of serving the government.

It's on record of history of Nigeria/ Africa, Police went on strike because of him. Now he is up again.

What's happening to the judiciary system with the interpretation of laws?

The Supreme Court will agree with the appeal court. The constitution is supreme to any other act of parliament.

The power to recruit any police officer other than the IGP is vested in the PSC. The PSC may delegate the power to recruit constables to the NPF the same way FCSC has delegated the power to recruit junior staff to MDAS. It doesn’t take away the fact that the power to recruit all police officers other than IGP belongs solely to the PSC.

Exactly bro! The illegality by the IGP will not stand at the Supreme Court because the recruitment went against the dictates of the constitution that states the power to recruit police officers is vested in the Police Service Commission.

Medicine after DEATH.

Nothing will happen Nigerian police never obeyed any court order giving against them eg. peace Corps of Nigeria vs Nigerian police, like APC Government that will not obey court order, and still go back to another court to get another court injunction that favours them.

Sack or Dissolve them and face another insurgency, Armed Robbery, Kidnapping and many more.

Nigeria is a mistake for now, that needs to be corrected.

The IGP will address them or they will become Amotekun volunteers. That's the price you pay for being in a country where the various arms of govt have no synergy on what they are doing

Who bestowed 'Prof,' on this one? Reasons illogically and truly like a creche scholar.
Why not balance imbalanced synergies in the country?

Police out of their usual myopic way, confusing a synonymous word (appoint/recruit) for selfish intrest. *Sec. 1(1)of our constitution * talked about supremacy of the constitution which is the *ground norm * . I really appreciate the wisdom of the Appeal court for using the appropriate *Statutory Interpretation * to give that groundbreaking judgement which serve a good precedence.

Why is the appeal court trying to block replication of what was done with DSS recutiment and blocking the massive recruitment of a section of the country, huh?

Anyways no problem. The next strategies will any of the following:

1. We replace that supreme court justice to our own stooge and bring another modified lawsuit before him.

2. We regig the board of the PSC to be filled with our own people so that they will connive with us to approve whatever list our stooge police chief presents, even if the list does not reflect the federal character

3. We altogether instruct our rubber-stamp legislature to change the acts guiding the PSC and removing their capacity for recruitment urging them to usurp that capacity for the office of the police chief. After all Malami has done something similar with EFCC act to the office of the AGF.

All our people from Niger Republic that we opened the borders for must get those police jobs. So we need to take total control of the recruitment process either by hook or crook.
