Should Nigeria Be Celebrating Independence? by Nobody: 9:57am On Oct 01, 2020 |
Should we be really celebrating Independence if i may ask? Are we truly independent as claimed? Even a 12 year old child knows the right answer. In all honesty , Nigeria would have been better of still under colony by the British. These are my reasons 1. Nigeria would have been among developed Nations 2.infrastructural wise,Nigeria will be like England.Good roads , Steady electricity ,good healthcare would have been a thing of the past 3. There will be no much disparity between the rich and the poor as obtained in Britain 4. Nigerian citizens welfare will be better taken care as obtained in Britain even though not 100%. 5. Insecurity will be top notch as obtained in Britain 6. Nepotism wouldn't even exist or would be reduced to the bearest minimum 6. Our Educational would not be in rot,you all know what our Education system is in Nigeria now 7. The list is endless What's the essence of Celebrating Independence when we are grossly neo-colonized, when our mentality is still colonized, our mind is still colonized. The bitter truth is that this Independence has turned out to be a curse to Nigeria. Am not happy at all |
