Governors Mandate Magazine Hits The Stands by GovsMandate: 12:09pm On Oct 01, 2020
The much awaited Governors Magazine has finally hit the stands.

The 54-page magazine covers reports from 10 states of the federation with vivid pictures to tell the stories of the achievement of state governors in focus.

A quarterly offering, this edition of Governors Mandate magazine themed: "Governance in a 'New Normal' era" focuses on the strides of state governors in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.

There were sectoral reports of health, security, agriculture and economic empowerment.

According to John Adenekan, Governors Mandate editor-in-chief, the magazine "seeks to showcase the strides of state governors, particularly at a time when governance across the globe is being challenged by plunges in resources occasioned by coronavirus.

He said Governors Mandate is positioned to bring to light, all the activities of states governors so that the people they govern can best be informed.

"We are used to seeing the inadequacies of leadership but we at Governors Mandate want to change that narrative, we want people to see their leaders for who they really are- good or bad, that is why we've gone out of our way to publish this magazine, he said.

The magazine will be distributed free of charge to government offices, embassies, hotels and airport lounges and other public spaces.

The next edition is billed to come out in December and will cover other states not captured in the current edition.
