Chelsea Legend, Didier Drogba has been announced as the winner of the UEFA President Award at the ceremony of the UEFA body on October 1, 2020, after which the draw will be held in Nyon, Switzerland.

The former Chelsea and Ivory Coast forward has been hailed by UEFA President, Aleksander Čeferin as a “leader and pioneer” and for his “commitment to excellence on and off the pitch.”
Drogba won the UEFA Champions League with Chelsea in 2012

“Didier is a hero to millions of football fans for his achievements throughout his glittering playing career. He is a leader – a pioneer", UEFA President said.

"I will remember him as a player for his skill, strength, and intelligence, but above all for his insatiable appetite to succeed – a trait which is just as present in his desire to help others off the field of play,” Čeferin added.

Congrats Double D on this fine achievement..your contribution to football can never be forgotten. Despite this guy's passion and experience in football, his country FA decided to rubbish him when he attempted to contest as the FA president. Later you'll wonder why some of the best African talents don't return to Africa to serve, it's cos politics is applied to everything including how food is dished in some homes.
