The Creative Director of Maison de Helen, Elsie Unuane, who is the brain behind the creation of the attire stressed that Nigeria is a beautiful place with rich history and it is therefore expedient to be at the forefront showcasing this to the rest of the world. Inspired by culture and the need to redefine Nigeria's traditional bridal attires, the bridal editorial was released to serve as a benchmark for international standards.

The beautiful handwoven fabric distinctively and originally adorned by the Akwete kingdom of Edo state as well as the Asooke Fabric worn by the Yorubas was designed to make brides look the best on their 'Big day'.
