The build-up to the US Presidential election has been characterized by lots of intricacies. I seem to align with the school of thought that the Trumps' Covid-19 "infection" could be a hoax. This can be a deliberate ploy deployed by the Republicans to put Trump in the people's heart and mouth, win public sympathy, and ultimately, score cheap political points and harvest votes.

How else can he better prove to his people and the world at large that he, and indeed fellow US citizens have/can overcome the "China virus" (that has claimed over 200,000 American lives) using his much publicized hydroxychloroquine treatment? Trump is a master strategist! And in politics, anything is possible.

I remain very skeptical about Trump being unintentionally infected with Covid. A lot of people have accused him of not doing enough to minimize the fatality rate in the US. And knowing that Covid will be a major factor that'll influence voter's choice, he feels compelled to pull some strings regarding it.

However it turns out, I wish him speedy recovery.
