The last presidential election in Ondo state was a bit controversial for Apc cos Aketi rather supported his floated party AAA for state assembly , reps and senate

In 2015, Abia people voted for Alex Otti of APGA but Theodore Orji used his influence in INEC as former commissioner in the agency to write results in favour of PDP.
