Reaction to Nigeria Independent @60.

Independent was offered to Nigeria on October 1,1960, The outwith colonial master surrendered the grid of Imperialism rescind master and slave arrangement and put Nigerian in charge of affairs to master their own destiny even though in the framework of the master interest.

Distinctiveness of cultural and religion believe among the menace frustrating the coalitions of the Nations union So therefore the indication of the Country never worked could not be an overstated argument rather also the journey of the nationhood had been marred and tainted by numerous elements of obstruction and naracisstic differences of ethnics and political interest.

If to agree with what some scholars have mentioned that it is not necessarily important to keep pointing accusation finger as to the reason why their constituted Nigeria project failed as to testify with years 60, why Nigerian could get the governance specifically not right, indication of many opportunity we have had to salvage and put the country on the right tracks were never well utilize and therefore we could criticize less the British.

Regardless of what and reason for the failure in the 21st century it is too late and will be Obnoxious to keep justifying, approved or rather begin to look at ourselves in terms of ethnicity differences, social and cultural ideology, religion dogma and whatever sentiments, what is glaring and needed no interpretation is that the unity of Nigeria project is NOT WORKING and it is high time we place significant attention to why and how to make it work, we must observe a decorum and desist from an euphoria of failure, malady and celebration of shame.



What I found intriguingly interesting is when some vested interest who have profited largely from the palpable and regressing state of Nigeria continued appealing to hope and articulating a rhetoric’s of why to lean on faith. Even when the peace is elusive factors testifying that the Nation is in trouble.



1; Global index indicate, Nigeria the most destitute, most corrupt and a place where indiscipline and all other society vices are practically a way of life; where good quality of life were significantly not catered for, so therefore, it is never strange as to why Nigeria passport holder will be humiliated and embarrassed at foreign embassy of America, Germany and Europe to mention few, our indigenous integrity could not stand the test of time.



2; Sinister and persistence moves of an insurgent terrorist sect victimizing and eliminating life and truncating peace, in the Country had refused to stopped and elusively dealt according with, from boko haram sect from far northeast, the kidnappers from southern part, the ritualist with their heinous craft and kidnappers threatening from the west, while the herdsmen vigorously attacking from the central north.

I could say and asked where is the peace?



If you must Emotionanally and sincerely asked who armed the herdsmen, I grew up knowing that the ancestral traditional business of the herdsmen is to travel with their cow and calf to seek greener pasture and with a thin staff across their neck, and were also never a nuisance in the city ,because  their business are solely rural grazing and behind sea bay where their domestics herds could graze property, how did the fulani herdsmen acquire Ak 49, and all dangerous s riffle you can think of, who exchanged their sticks with weapon? when did the fulani herdsmen who will initially gave fura and nunu(milk product) to a total strangers for free became hostile and dreadful. Where again is the peace?



3; Vicious action of various secessionist group threatening the coalition of the Nation. It was biafra dominating the mainstream media and perpetually never stopped before oduduwa republic joined to strengthen the disunity move and also disintegrate the forced marriage of Nigeria region . you could ask how long is it going to take before an echo of arewa nation will be heard, we have once had a Niger delta avenger clamouring for negligence of the region and total disenfranchise, marginalization and deprivation of the national cake;

So where is the peace?



4; To excercerbate the treat confronting the peace and progress of the nation, as Nigerian clearly divides along ethic and religion lines. It will be gross misunderstood why less civilization of the western education play significant role, and diversity among the ethnics, that is why a crime of trivial matters in the south or west could be tantamount to a great sin that will attract severe punishment in the north such as sharia law, blasphemy and others, this testify largely the reason why the unity is shattered and failed.



5; Different organization are spring up demanding responsible and accountable government, one of which is SOWORE REVOLUTION, and among underground movement clamouring for change in the country were the students and market women association, which felt unpleasant in the manner which the system of governance  of Nigeria Nation is running, Oportunity for graduates were less or limited to those in charge of affairs, the goods from the market were oftenly skyrocketing in price because of government policy and irresponsible,  basic necessity to make life a little comfortable were never provided, you could ever only expect more association or movement to rise up to challenge those who they elect in public office.



My prescription, it is necessary to ignore less any details or any elements which feels their voice need to be heard, if truly democracy is for the interest of the people, then people voice should be given priority discussion rather than neglect, communication will be an essential tool and assets to negotiate assert, request, agree and to disagree peacefully on a certain course or topic.



If restructuring will be examine, if parliamentary style of government will be introduced, even if going back to the old regional style of government will be  favourable, even if disintegration will be an ultimate remedy it is then and very important to place a very important attention to those critical national conversation and issues  threatening the unity, peace and progress of Nigeria. Then we could talk about independent.
