I don't have cucumber at moment. Irrigating time depend on the number of stands you have on field, if its 5000 stand 35minute in the morning and 35 minutes in evening should do.

By Monday I will be applying MOP which is a potassium based fertilizer and SSP which is for phosphorus.
Other fertilizer l plan using later is calcium and magnesium sulfate....
Henceforth, I will keep fertilizing on weekly basis.
I've already applied manure twice.

I am about to sow my cucumber seed, I need advice on what herbicide I can use to protect my farm from all forms of weeds for the next two months because we don't have labourers readily available.
1. What chemicals should I get?

2. What should be the measurement per knapsack

3. Should I apply it before sowing and wait a few days after spraying the chemical before I sow or should I sow and immediately fumigate the farm?

cucumber is a sensitive crop, the best approach is clear,pack, burn, ridge then plant. If it is cassava or maize I can suggest force urion for you, and if you try such herbicide on cucumber it will not germinate.

are you experiencing bitter fruits ? My few cu999 stands all produced bitter fruits. Under the harsh weather, Greengo although is sweet but cu999 is bitter despite irrigation.

You are correct had a similar experience. Worse it's priced at a discount compared to the Dark green varieties

Same here despite irritating everyday I still have bitter cucumber ,,cu999 African giant

African giant variety water need ain't same with other varieties. It grows so big and needs enough water to do that. You did not just water it enough.

Finally do first cucumber (3584) for this year this morning. Rain has being holding my hand, thank God it rained heavily here yesterday.
