VEE2010:
Most Nigerians do not understand the damage our political elites have done to this country.
I remember my deep understanding of the fishbone problem solving approach, you are dealing with the root causes of the problems rather than the effects that are now negatively impacting our society.
1. Assuming these guys went to school, they would have been enlightened to reason differently to understand that there is no correlation between human heads and money making. It is only in Nigeria and possibly Benin or other neighboring underdeveloped countries that still practice this barbaric act, and no thanks to illiteracy.
So bad, most of these elites became what they are today because there was a level playing field for all during their time. They benefited from virtually a free education set up by the government of the day.
2. Most people have lost their dignity due to unimaginable intimidation from those same elites using all the instruments of governance at their disposal to deprive people of their dignity, so still position their children to continue their perverse act.
3. This has now extended to spirituality which is part of the effects of point # 1.
Until we have a government that places premium on education as topmost priority and also creates an enabling environment to encourage the private sector to strive, we will continue to have this problem. Note that the transformation will not take less than 40 years to generate new mentalities across the country.
May God help Nigeria!
