*-ASSURES OF HIS READINESS TO LIFT THE COMMISSION TO GREATER HEIGHTS*

The Managing Director of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission(ISOPADEC), High Chief Charlse Orie today on resumption of office interfaced with the management and Staff of the commission.

Chief Orie in his speech thanked Governor Hope Uzodimma for finding him worthy to serve in the capacity as the Managing Director and assures the Governor and the people of Imo state of his commitment to duty.

He revealed that the leadership of the commission is poised to intervene in the pitiable conditions and deplorable state of the oil regions and assured of his readiness and that of the members of his team to bring unmatchable developments in the region.

The Managing Director maintained his firm resolve to harness the natural and human resources that will bring about an increase in rural income, high productivity, diversification of the economy and general well-being of the people in the oil regions.

"It is not going to be a walk in the park as we have a lot to do. However I am here to serve at the pleasure of the governor and the great people of the oil producing area of the state and by extension the while of Imo state."

He shared his displeasure over the underdevelopment of the oil regions occasioned by corruption and maladministration of the commission and its fund and declared that with him onboard the narratives of ISOPADEC will be changed for good. He added that he is known as a man who walks the talk and promises to bring the necessary basic amenities to the regions.

Chief Charlse Orie used the occasion to thank God for the new phase of life and opportunity to serve humanity and enjoined the board members, management and staff of the commission to support and work in synergy with him to achieve his set targets and make the commission a better place.
