They are tax consultants who by their performance increased the tax inflow of their state in exponential proportions.

Can you explain what for you is a crime?
Awarding contract to a company you have stakes in is corruption, just because it is common practice in Nigeria does not make it right. It there was a public bidding it would have been won by KPMG,Deloitte,Ernst and Young and PWC and for a much smaller commission in the range 1%-3%.

With everything I've read here, this guy owns probably half of Nigeria
Half of Lagos, if he becomes President he will own half of Nigeria by the time he corners all the oil blocks and everything he can get his hands on.

The claimant avers that despite the huge income made by the 1st defendant since 2010 to the present, Tunde Badejo and Akin Doherty acting under the direction of the 2nd defendant (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) breached Clause 8 of the partnership agreement and denied the claimant his share of the profit from the partnership as provided in the agreement.

Alpha Beta got the monopoly to collect taxes in 2002. It is mentioned in the court documents.

Trying to be smart.

Incorporating an organisation in a certain year is no guarantee of patronage.

In any case, same court papers cannot point to where Tinubu owns a shareholding in the said company.

Why was a firm registered in 2002 given a monopoly to collect Lagos State taxes. Is that the best global practice? On what basis where they given the contract, when they had no prior experience. Now we know through Dapa Apara the whole arrangement and why they got awarded the contract with no competitive bidding.

What was the tax generated in Lagos state before then?

Since their inception what has been the performance of Lagos state in terms of tax recovery?

Why didn't LIRS just recruit experienced staff from the big 4 accounting firms. Why award 10% commission to a company registered the same year it received a contract.

If you own a business will you award a contract to a company with no prior experience?

Why should the big 4 monopolise all consultancy jobs?

I'm sure if Arthur Andersen still existed you would have included them.

By the way, where are the proposals by these so-called big 4?

There was no competitive bidding! He have the contract to a company formed the same year he awarded them a contract.

He didn't need to give them the contract to the big 4 even, all he had to do was poach their staff from Staff Accountants,Senior Accountants,Managers,Senior Managers and Partners into the LIRS.

Seems your grouse is that the so-called big 4 didnt get such lucrative deal.

Are they the only capable hands?

Why couldnt they initiate the tax collection handling?

Big 4 my foot.

The capable hand is Alpha Beta formed in 2002 with the prior experience, who got awarded the contract the same year. Your defence is balderdash!

If you ran a private business will you award a major contract like that to a company with no prior experience, unless you had an interest in it?

Yes.

In retrospect we can see how much they have done so much so that other states engaged them.

On what basis was Alpha Beta selected with no prior experience? Dapo Apara has given us his version in a sworn affidavit.

I would like to hear your version why a newly formed company was awarded a contract the same year with no prior experience. And why there was no competitive bidding.

This slave mentality is very wrong. Except you are corrupt or brainless, you should see reasons why society should liberate itself from the hands of those who are greedy. How do you hail someone whose wealth is questionable and whose riches you will never enjoy from?
