Amb. Husaini Haruna Coomassie, has called in the Inspector General Of Police (IGP) to create a new tactical squad or quick intervention squad that would be charged with the responsibilities of combating banditry and other criminal activities

He made this known in Porthacourt - Rivers state during a security meeting he chaired. He also urged the Federal Government to support the NPF with standard working equipments that would enable them discharge their duties effectively to the satisfaction of all well meaning Nigerians.

The IGP should continue with his good works and shouldn't be distracted by the perpetrators of criminal activities in the country. The Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies need a total overhauling and reforms at this time when the whole world is threatened by criminal activities.

Also community policing should be inaugurated as a matter of urgency. The police and other security agencies should align with the general public (credible Nigerians) for intelligence gathering.

"I admire the quick intervention of the IGP who heard the cries of the Nigerian youths in the menace of the F-SARS," he concluded.

I only hope they'd reconstitute one with literate and professionally well-trained officers in the mold of RRS.
