Sars should be set up as a tactical team just for raids. After raids suspects should be handed over to another unit. They should be stripped off the power to arrest and detain.

Tactical teams have no business putting up road blocks when not in pursuit of criminals on the run

They should stop rulling by mere pronouncement.
Bail is Free - IGP
But go to any Police station and remind the criminal Police Officers about what their IGP said, they woul tell you to go and ask him to come down and free the detained person.

End Police Checkpoints and Road Blocks - IGP.
But you see his Policemen mounting Road Blocks everywhere and if you dare remind them that IGP has ordered that they should disband Roadblocks, they can shoot you because of that and IGP wont be there to save you!

We want all conclusiosn coded into LAW so that any infirngement can be taken to Court.

If these police men are not forced to wear body camera like it's done in a well policed environment... Then we are joking....these officers need to know they are being watched....that's the only way to check mate their excesses...mandate them to wear body camera during operations and see how they will become responsible police men overnight
