The Senate on Thursday rejected the nomination of Mrs. Lauretta Onochie as a Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Onochie, a media aide to the president was on Tuesday nominated by Buhari to serve as INEC Commissioner from Delta State.



The senate rejected her nomination during plenary on Thursday.
