. The government believes that when ASU is settled their strike wiil be called off .When schools are reopened all students protesting will go back to their class rooms .That will end the protest. They have forgotten that this protest will continue across the Nigerian schools.
Re: Strike: FG To Release N30bn Earned Allowances To ASUU by Cmanforall: 1:54pm On Oct 16, 2020
And Universities will fix exams. What a way to force student protesters back to university.

This government!!!

Finally, the protest has favoured lecturers. Let them join hands to ensure Nigeria works for the common man.

We are not de cause of una problem

Yet u guys wind and use us to catch cruise

This protest is very very good start in making or leaders at least to understand a bit of what we are talking about.

All these
FG to...
FG will...
FG shall...
is just a manipulative way to let ASUU call off the strike without giving them a dime.
What's delaying the FG from paying these allowances ASAP.

ASUU should better wait till they see alert of all their demands before calling off the strike. FG na promise and fail dm sabi.

ASUU, hope FG met ALL your demands( UTAS, revitalization, earned allowances, autonomy and the rest....) because this is an opportunity oh. No be say after 2 months una go say FG no honour 2009,2014,2017,2019 MoU abi MoA then start strike again. Make una STRIKE AM ONCE and FOR ALL... Covid 19 dn kuku scatter 2020. so by 2021, if school resumes, we will know there's no strike anymore.

Abi na just because FG wn accept una UTAS and pay earned allowances body dm de swt una to resume.

By next week, we'll know if ASUU is really serious with their demands or not. If they call off the strike without recieving a dime, it's their loss. The students should also brace up for another strike.

Bad news for NAAT, SAANU AND NASU who didn't join ASUU in the strike.

It seems the University truly belongs to ASUU members alone.

Anytime ASUU wails on any issue for long, government ends up releasing billions to them.
And other union will only get less than 10% from the money, even though they have more population than ASUU members.

This bully, discrepancy, intimidations and disparities is everywhere.
Even among health workers. Doctors vs. nurses, pharmacists etc.

am sure even the 30 billion was not well audited and is padded but due to desperation to send students back to school they wont even properly scrutinise their claims they would just pay them what ever they claim FG owns but i can bet you before buharis four years is up we would have another strike especially from a faction that dont receive the largess of the FG

Students, this is your time to shine.
You are the reason why the demand of these oppressive lecturers are met, do not allow them to oppress you in your schools again. Remember, it is your parents tax that got them payed.

#No to Student oppression
