Sen. Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, has accused the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) of fuelling the ongoing nationwide protest against police brutality in Nigeria. During a reconciliation meeting between the Federal Government and ASUU, which ended in deadlock, Ngige said the youths who were supposed to be in schools are being recruited into #EndSARS protest due to the industrial action the union embarked upon. His words: “For the past week, we have all been on our toes, we’ve been meeting, and we pray that this meeting will yield good fruits.
