Who gave them the leverage? If not for the protest, this hoodlums wouldn't have risen up and start operating. Theyve prolly been waiting for this opportunity to carry out their silly acts and now they have it.

Oh I see, so people should not have protested with the way things are going in this country; as if there is no govt? Perhaps, you don't live in Nigeria or you are a part of the thieving and marauding pests destroying our lives. You think #ENDSARS is just about SARS, or can't you see the hardships and insecurity Nigerians have to endure?

The protest was inevitable, however, govt's handling of it was to blame for this sad intrusion, they lack initiative and innovation, from sponsored thugs to hoodlums taking advantage of the loophole caused by the govt insincerity in handling insecurity, impunity and corruption in government which they were promised.

You can go and die. As you die, the children of those you protest against will still live. We need to call on our legislators to do the needful. Restructuring will take our federation forward

SmartyPants:

One reason why a protest of this nature will fail, is because people like you love life so much. History shows that only when people are prepared to die, and actually die, is long term change achieved.

I see how you're fully in support of the protest by hiding behind your kepads and cheering others to go out there and risk their lives, giving hoodlums the license to carry out their evil operations.

Why dont you go out there and join in the protest so we'll know you're serious? Until then, buzz off my mention.

This is not going to help. Using violence to disperse protesters may backfire on the government.
I see absolutely no reason for the army to brought into this.
This is how revolutions start.
Let the government learn from Cuba, Venezuela and the Arab spring revolutions in Algeria, Egypt, Yemen etc.
The more you apply violence, the more the protesters resolve harden.

Mumuni, where are you typing from? I guess from the comfort of your walled office. Don't worry, change is here, not the fake one promised by this failed govt. Eyes go clear!

Nobody is stopping citizens from protesting but when roads are blocked n sometimes thugs take over n block some roads! U expect the fg to watch them?
jerrybakermillz:
Burst....FG will be making more mistake by involving soldiers to stop citizens to carry out their lawful right to protest.

The whole world is watching and Nigeria is the most populous black race in Africa

Should that be my fate, I would gladly accept it in the knowledge that it was not in vain - if only it would not be in vain. Alas with cowards like you the death of a hero does not seem to typically count for little in the country.

lol..as if the precious life you cling to won't at last be snatched away from you.

Everyone will certainly die one day but the most painful thing is not living your purpose on earth. If that's your purpose to die without any recognition, good for you. If everybody die. Who did you fight for

What is painful about not living your purpose on earth...do you think dead men are in pains over not living this purpose?

It's obvious that everyone will not and cannot die for this cause.

Just as Mandela was the South African sacrifice, and Abraham Lincoln paid the ultimate price for the emancipation of the black man, just as Dr King gave his own life, just as the death of Tarek el-Tayeb Mohamed Bouazizi sparked the entire Arab spring, just as the death of Solo Sandeng sparked the removal of Gambia's Yahya Jammeh, the death of one can mean so much and has meant so much in every other country except for Nigeria.

Because cowards hide behind the excuse that they are pursuing purpose when it is clearly written that there is no higher love than to lay down one's life for his friends. If love is the purpose of the believer, then why are you afraid to lay down your life?

If Mandela died early, would the story of Mandela be complete or heard?

That's the only example you saw? I have not said that all must die, but merely that one must be ready to!

I support the protest right here in Warri. The youths around almost got it hot with the Nigeria army but was averted through one of the aids of the governor. You would have heard scores of people killed because wisdom was not applied

Neurotika:
The protesters are as confused as the government. Of all the problems of this country, you singled out only SARS. Now when government answers that, you suddenly realize SARs isn't the only problem. Yet you want them to take you serious by constantly shifting the goal post. When the word revolution is called you'll call it political. "This is a start" is the usual rant...yet what's the assurance you'll get this opportunity again?. Nigeria's problem is deeply rooted in ALL the administrative structures designed by this corrupt and incompetent leaders. This should be the focus. And it goes beyond writing ambiguous words on placards. Men of integrity and competence needs to come together in their numbers and influence the system via elections. Imagine if all the people carrying placards all agree to a particular candidate in the upcoming elections. Imagine the broad impact this will have on the current system. The problems of this country is deeply rooted in the fundamentals and it's only an effective leader that can solve them. Treating symptoms of a disease won't get anyone anywhere. But then, you're all enjoying your rage so knock yourselves out....
so what are you doing typing and strategizing on what they should protest on? Why can't you start one? It's easy to win goals and war with mouth but are too lane to move into action .You are busy typing from the comfort of your house and mocking courageous protesters that have been out on the street for days now, fighting for their freedom, from oppression ,police brutality & extra judicial killings and you are here with your big mouth bad mouthing their effort .

What we are seeing is not a peaceful protest. You block a major road so that other citizens can goto hospitals, places of work etc #CrocodileSmile loading

Which one is block roads? Where are they supposed to do their protest? Their bedrooms?
