The National Association of University Students, NAUS have taken protest against the seemingly endless strike embarked upon by the Academic Staff of Union of Universities, ASUU to the National Assembly. Also, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN a body of Nigerian youths routed a letter which the content was not disclosed through the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan to President Muhammadu Buhari. Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi representing Niger North Senatorial district who addressed the protesters on behalf of the Senate President disclosed on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday in Abuja that their grievances would be addressed while thanking them for their maturity. The lawmaker who spoke on the point of order expatiates on how the Senate leadership had engaged ASUU leadership which he said were almost reaching a compromise. He told Senators that students were tired of staying at home for a long time due to the ASUU strike.
