in Places like Benin, Portharcourt etc, A bag of 50kg foreign rice is currently #46k (was #8k 5 years ago) while local rice is #28k(was less than #6k in 2015).

A loaf of 500g bread is now #450 (was #180 in 2015)

A satchel of tin tomatoes was #40 in 2015 and as at today, it is #150 etc

A rubber of garri was #150 2015, its now #800 in Benin as of today.

SINCE THE PAST 5YEARS BUHARI CAME INTO POWER, THE LIFESTYLE OF THE REGULAR EARNING MAN HAS REDUCED VERY VERY DRASTICALLY. AS FOR THE POOR, I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THEY ARE COPING.

Please someone should tell Buhari to open the borders.. let food come in.. especially rice. While he monitors the price and market..

It's so clear we aren't self sufficient yet
The farmers are scared because of security challenges...

People are dying of hunger.... Everything is expensive..

Somebody please tell Buhari
I know he's very far from reality
He closed border for rice but failed to close border for refined fuel, close border for foreign education, close border for foreign medical care, yeye people

But its true, why do you think people work so hard abroad, try to save by the skin of their teeth, but end up erecting huge structures and businesses back home. Cost of living in Nigeria, if you are not living to impress is cheaper than a lot of places. However the majority of income is so poor that accessing those cheap things can still be an herculean task

This is a bad comparison. Comparing a developed economy with a developing economy without considering other factors. Why are Nigerians moving out of the country and are being recognized everywhere they are. I won't think of moving out of Nigeria like other millions of Nigeria if the economy is manageable. It seems you are used to suffering that's why you posted that rubbish insisted of you to make a comparing between countries of similar economy.
Even if things are expensive in an economy an the citizens are doing great they won't complain but in a poor economy even they have the cheapest price and the citizens cannot afford it they have every right to complain.

We all know that the cost of living in Nigeria is cheaper compare to some developing country. You can get a standard 2 bedroom in Lagos for €500 annual while that will only take you for a month.

That's not in the Lagos metropolis.
Maryland, Magodo, Opebi/Allen, Omole, Ajah, Lakowe, Lekki, Anthony, Ilupeju, Ogudu, Some quiet part of surulere, Victoria island and ikoyi 2bedroom annual rent in these areas goes as high as €1300 p/annum
Unless you want to live in Mowe ,ikorodu, Iyana ipaja, Abule egba, ojodu etc and i doubt if you'll get a 2bedroom flat less than 300k annual rent in those places.

That's it. If 100,000,000 Nigerians with other factors being constant earn or make 100 000 naira per month people will still manage and things won't be as bad as this. Income of people is not commensurate with prices and forces in Nigeria.
