What really matters is that our wages are way lower than that of the US on average so all these don’t really matter.

This is only realistic in a situation where you are living alone and has no mouth to feed, not for those who when they managed and secure a 100k paying job, you will have all your entire struggling family members queue up to share from your income. Not to even mention adding girlfriend and sidechicks to the list.

To live and succeed in this country is harrrrd, very haaard brother!! The inequality level is depressing. We are only getting bye by the mercy of God, not because we are too wise or sth..

Re: Cost Of Living In Nigeria by chymeze: 3:08pm On Oct 22, 2020
For you to make this statement, you have to compare the minumum wage of Nigeria with these countries you just mentioned. The standard of living in these so called countries are dar higher than what obtains here in Nigeria. And so even though the costs of things in Nigeria might parallel that in these other countries, people in these other countries actually have greater purchasing power compared to that of Nigeria.
aremuforlife:
We all know that the cost of living in Nigeria is cheaper compare to some developing country. You can get a standard 2 bedroom in Lagos for €500 annual while that will only take you for a month.

I spend way more than what you have on utilities. Cost of living in Nigeria is too high if you compare what people earn in Nigeria with what they earn in other countries undecided

If this is not yet the end of the world I wonder how it will be when the world eventually comes to an end. A world without God, a world without grace. Imagine lawlessness, imagine hellfire.

I don't care if it exists or not but what I'm seeing alone shows that the heart of a wicked man can never be controlled.

Oh God please forgive me and my family including those who understand and doesn't want to face your absence in their lives. Please forgive us all.

Then what about those because of their ill health that need to buy expensive drugs before food on a monthly basis to survive. It's not easy being a Nigerian o. I don't blame those who commit suicide most times. Life is not easy in Nigeria

lincsnuel:
The problem is the economy. Many Nigerians are low income earners who cannot afford their basic needs.

If government creates favourable laws and policies which improve the economy, the citizens will establish organizations and industries that will employ the low income earners and increase the standard of living.

By this, the government doesn't necessarily need to create direct jobs.
