We started this #EndSARS protest as Nigerian youths who were concerned by the alarming cases of POLICE BRUTALITY mostly carried out by the defunct members of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the NPF. This just cause did not only receive the needed national recognition. It was as well acknowledged and backed across the globe. The Presidency and the NPF dissolved the rogue police unit and commenced a reform of the force.

We were not satisfied and we agitated for more. We came up with five demands (5 for 5). These demands were approved by the NPF. The recent happenings in the past few days were a jailbreak that has been recorded with several Police Stations burnt shows that our earlier agitations and protests have been taken over by youths who do not mean well for us.

Hence, the time for us to withdraw, and allow the Government to deal decisively with these miscreants. The #EndSARS protest which was hitherto termed “peaceful” has in the past few days witnessed bloodsheds and wanton destruction of public properties thereby overriding the peaceful nature of the protest.

I am seriously battling to draw a correlation between peaceful protests and the killing of hapless Police officers, as well as the burning of vehicles and looting of shops of our fellow Nigerians.

Every well-meaning citizen will agree that this is no longer a peaceful protest but a deliberate ploy to by some outlaws to destabilize the country. This is the time to say no and reject these agents of destruction.

Certainly, this isn't a peaceful protest anymore, it is a fight from those who want the country divided and in total chaos for her selfish interest. May God help this nation.

Peaceful protest indeed. Why is Nigerian youth protest always ends up in violence. Just asking. I think this is why the elderly doesn't see us as serious people.

However, to some extent Nigerian youths were right to demand what belongst to them. Alas, they goffed when they allow miscreant to hijack the protest from them.

A gunshot lead to world war 1. Some shootings in lekki lead to anarchy in most states.
Soldiers or guns don't bring peace but destruction.
