The Apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has disassociated the Igbo from statements credited to the leader of Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the destruction of Yoruba assets in Lagos.

In a statement issued by the President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo said that Ohanaeze was outraged by the vituperative and inciting outrage of the leader of IPOB on the #ENDSARS activities in Lagos and disassociated the body and Ndigbo completely from them.

The statement reads:

#Endsars: “Alleged destruction of Yoruba economic assets”, the Ohanaeze position.

“The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural and Political body of Ndigbo Worldwide has been drawn to a press statement issued by a Pan Yoruba Group, the Apapo O’Odua Koya ( AOKOYA) on the on-going youth uprising in Nigeria particularly in Lagos as it relates to Ndigbo youths.

We find the statement disheartening not necessarily because of the untruth in its sentiment but that it’s obviously being engineered and targeted at the age-long good relationship between the Igbo and the Yoruba.

Ohanaeze strongly believes that the press statement is craftily drafted showing a skilful use of underhand tactics to achieve a set goal which in this case is to set Yoruba against Ndigbo.

We are ready to vehemently resist this in our time knowing the historical affinity of these two great ethnic groups dating back to the days of Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe through to the famous handshake across the Niger propagated by our iconic leader Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu- Ojukwu.

This spontaneous relationship built by our forefathers over the years has been strengthened in the last three years by the political emancipation movement, being propelled by the Southern And Middle Belt leadership Forum ( SMBLF) made up of four ethnopolitical bodies of Ndigbo, in the South East, Afenifere in the South West, PANDEF in the South-South and the Middle Belt Forum in North Central Nigeria.

Ohanaeze will therefore wish to urge the Yoruba and indeed the rest of Nigeria to disregard any outburst from anybody as coming from Ndigbo that is not as succinctly captured in the terms of agreement of the ethnic nationalities.

It’s therefore against this backdrop that Ohanaeze Ndigbo wishes to vehemently deny the allegation of Igbo youth involvement in Lagos #Endsars protest as part of a grand design to destroy Yoruba economy.

For the obvious reason of having most of their businesses scattered all over the country particularly in Lagos, knocks out the thinking of an Igbo setting to destroy another person’s economy. Only a fool living in a glass house uses stone to settle scores.

Already, as it had always been during every crisis in Nigeria, Igbo businesses are a target as happened last Tuesday in Abuja when car depots, belonging to Igbos were set ablaze by hoodlums.

We, therefore, wish to urge the Yoruba ethnic group to disregard the position being pushed by the AOKOYA because it’s not based on facts and reality on the ground.

Finally, we wish to state that Ohanaeze is also outraged by the vituperative and inciting outrage of the leader of IPOB on the #ENDSARS activities in Lagos and disassociate the body and Ndigbo completely from them.”

Beware southerners. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are paid agents, they are neither from east or west. They have more than twenty accounts, they would create tribal topics and make tribal comments with another accounts to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers.

Also Be aware that tactics and plans has been deployed to cover up the massacre since all their efforts to break southern unity were not fruitful. They have created a lot of Facebook and Twitter accounts with Yoruba or Igbo names for this purpose, one of them is to post pictures or video of people who debunked being killed, those pictures were scripted and earlier been circulated for this purpose. They would discredit real occurrence and give it another title. Beware of the propaganda

Idiots.. is it statements that will rebuild all the investments destroyed in Lagos?

Of all the media house in Lagos, it's only Yoruba owned TVC, LTV and The Nation they burnt. Speaks volume!

Let them complete investigations and see it was all lies at Lekki toll gate and see. Lagos is Yorubaland, Yoruba heritage and no amount of schematics will make it fall to envious outsiders.

Very irresponsible statement if Kanu actually made such statement. However, everyone knows he wants to set Nigeria on fire sha, so this is an opportunity to do so.

NB: the guys I saw in videos destroying property in Lagos are mostly Yorubas anyway.

Can you imagine.
The protest and destruction of properties that followed was targeted against the Yorubas for obvious reasons, Oba of Lagos palace was invaded because of the Lagoon statement he made against the igbos, the attack on perceived Tinubu's property and his subject maybe justifiable but on the oba of Lagos is an aberrant which should be a clear message of retaliation by some perceived sentiments and unscrupulous myopic elements with bitterness bigotry and hatred against the progress of Lagos and south west in general, even that went far ahead for disgrace pasuma and Sowore, what was their crime exactly? for showing solidarity to the the protesters? I guess the BRT buses also belong to Tinubu, NPA, GTB etc also belong to Tinubu?

Fifth columnist Taqiyya!
I guess Nnamdi Kanu was head and chairman of Miyeti allah fulani terrorist organization when they issued a statement accusing Tinubu of sponsoring #EndSars protest to deny North their right to 2023? Who are those at the forefront of hiring thugs in marked govt vehicles to wage violence on peaceful protesters and sabotage #EndSars protest right from the onset? Who are known worldwide as legendary "Blamers" when their evil activities and actions doesn't go as planned? Of course they're non other but buhari's fulani regime.
Buhari's fulani regime are the architects of Lagos violence, yet some southern useful idiots are allowing themselves to be deceived.
Don't allow yourselves to be deceived by TAQIYYA PRACTITIONERS.

SIDE NOTE: When we say many times without number that buhari's fulani regime is a practicing "TAQIYYA REGIME" (LIES AND DECEPTION), we're not saying rubbish. We know what we're saying. TRUTH in its entirety does not exist in their vocabulary.
Was it not this same murderious fulani regime that massacred over 300 shiites then hurriedly burried them in mass grave in attempt to hide the evidence from the world? If they could slaughter these massive number of people and deny it, what makes you think they'll not deny Lekki massacre? Denying Lekki massacre will be a work over for them.
Since lies and deception is their working policy, any activity that goes against them will be defended or denied with lies. They're the type that'll go to any length to commit unspeakable things like remove cctv cameras on Lekki tollgate, switch off lights, spray bullets on unarmed protesters and deny ever being present at the protest venue.
We know their style. They're nothing but murderers and pathological liars.

To my south West Brother this is the last opportunity to liberate ourselfs from Northern Hegemony any attempt to sabotage us again and side with the North like in 1967 will never be forgiven not in this life or the life after . Any attempt to turn around and join the North to attack and wage war against the igbos for the #endsars we did not start but only just joining will not be forgiven in this life or the life to come this is the last chance to mend fence and form a united south

South East only actively join this protest after the Lekki Massacre because we feel the pains and in Solidarity with our comrade in Lagos many of our people have already been killed since yesterday

BEWARE SOUL. BROTHERS
BY CHINUA ACHEBE

We are the men of soul,
Men of song, We measure out
Our joys and agonies
In paces of dance.

Beware, soul brother ,beware,
For others there will be
Lying in wait, leaden-footed, tone-deaf,
Passionate to despoil and devour.

Take care then, mother's son, take care,
Lest you become a dancer stranded in mid-air,
Hanging a lame foot in air like the hen.
In a strange unfamiliar compound.

Protect your fatherland to which
You must return when the song is finished
And the dancers disperse;

Remember also your children,
For they in their time will want a
Place for their feet when they come of age
And the dance of the future is born for them.

Those people that will tell you that Nnamdi Kanu is dead. The same people that will tell you that Nnamdi Kanu should never be taken serious that he is a nonentity, are the same people that will lie to themselves now to believe his tantrums.

It is on record that in Lagos, every year, there is a serious tribal battle between the Fulani and the Yoruba. Every year Yoruba people do get killed in their land, while the Fulani that perpetrate the evil always go scot-free. Is this true and factual? Answer that.

Igbo people in Lagos has never ever initiated any attack against the Yoruba people. Every Yoruba individual in Lagos has an Igbo that is his friend, vice versa, prove me wrong.

But now some individuals who are evil are trying to tell us another story. The Fulani people should understand that no matter how far the lie travels, the truth will always catch up.

Let the Yoruba people think intelligently.

The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural and Political body of Ndigbo Worldwide has been drawn to a press statement issued by a Pan Yoruba Group, the Apapo O’Odua Koya ( AOKOYA) on the on-going youth uprising in Nigeria particularly in Lagos as it relates to Ndigbo youths.

In addition, if it is remotely true that Mazi Nnia Nwodo released his statement on behalf of Ohanaeze Ndigbo based on the so-called press statement issued by a Pan Yoruba Group, the Apapo O’Odua Koya ( AOKOYA) as stated in the above junk, it is safe to say that Mazi Nnia Nwodo is not fit to lead a prayer in a family meeting.
