There is an adage in nupeland which says "alugua wayn kunza, shey da jiun" which means 'leave am' no dey enter person head, na 'go do am' people dey like to hear. Before this madness called protest got to the stage where we couldn't differentiate between pissful protesters and peaceful hoodlums, a few wise people on nairaland warned those who cared to listen but what did they get? The forum keeps record, please check and see for yourself

Those who were calling for an end to the protest got a few likes and shares from people on this forum which showed that only a few people wanted it to end...and anyone who typed #wemove #revolutionIsNow #poweroftheyoots #buharimustgo and other meaningless slogans were praised by a majority of Nigerians..but now, it is the other way round

This only proves one thing. We love to learn the hard way in this country. We don't have a mind of our own. All we know how to do is to follow trend. Today if someone starts a trend like #DeathToAllCows, don't be surprised to find Nigerians killing cows and showing it off on social media without asking themselves questions.

Many people who were among those who started the endSARS agitation opted out when they saw that it was getting out of control but they were called names. Nobody wanted to listen! Celebrities were joining in their numbers as they were being called out and bashed for not joining..

All these while, the wolves were smiling at the stupidity of Nigerians. It was an opportunity to get what they ve always wanted. These wolves without mincing words are politicians in the opposition, those aggrieved in the ruling party, and those who wanted to be on their own.

They have gotten what they wanted, no thanks to our 'wise' yooots. Properties have been destroyed, lives have been lost, stealing is on the rise, criminals are now moving freely. Hehehehe, may we not live to regret this! This is all I have to say

Well, I think we are beginning to regret our actions and this is why the endSARS slogan is no more trending.

What do you guys think? Should the protest still go on? grin grin

Beware southerners. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are paid agents, they are neither from east or west. They have more than twenty accounts, they would create tribal topics and make tribal comments with another accounts to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers.

Also Be aware that tactics and plans has been deployed to cover up the massacre since all their efforts to break southern unity were not fruitful. They have created a lot of Facebook and Twitter accounts with Yoruba or Igbo names for this purpose, one of them is to post pictures or video of people who debunked being killed, those pictures were scripted and earlier been circulated for this purpose. They would discredit real occurrence and give it another title. Beware of the propaganda

Interestingly I have tried to have a proper discussion with people on this matter. They are talking about how SARS is criminal and the shooting of protesters at Lekki Toll Gate a crime against humanity and a massacre. I do not want to use this platform to lecture on terminologies or lexis and structure , so I will not do so. While the aforementioned are all annoyingly painful events, the question is should the entire country be thrown into anarchy? Should this serve as the Justice demanded for on the killings by SARS or the Lekki Protesters shot at? Are we saying that about 150 to 200 million people in the South (since the North is not really protesting at this moment) be thrown into untold suffering and hardship? That the aged should die, property destroyed, jobs lost, young ones malnourished? Are we saying that Warlords and Gangs run the country just because we are trying to make a point? The same thugs and brigands who, during the Corona Virus lockdown, ran renegade and attacked same ordinary persons struggling to survive as well? Are we saying that justice for SARS Victims and those killed during the protest is the complete desolation of Nigeria? And then what? What is the plan to fill the vacuum? What is the strategy?

I still believe that justice has not been served for the SARS killings, but no amount of destruction of property will serve as proper justice for the crimes committed. Nigerians have never experienced anarchy in the past, hence they are unaware of what is about to come should this degenerate. I want full justice for those killed by either SARS or the military, but I am sensible enough to know that destruction of property which serves common good will not count as justice for those lost. When things die down it will only count as more suffering for the masses who relied on these structures to do business and earn daily income. When things die down how will people who relied on BRT go to and return from work? How do courts hold proceedings? When has throwing the baby away with the bathwater helped the family? How does cutting the nose to spite the face help?

I still am of the opinion that the violence should cease, the protest suspended and the government held to account in the proper way and manner. There are diverse ways the Government can be frustrated, persuaded or pressured to ensure justice is served besides the wanton destruction of lives and property by both the protesters and the security agencies.

Don't listen to him. This account was created 3 days ago, under the operation Crocodile smile to sow disunity among the Youths of Nigeria and spread pro-buhari and anti-protests misinformation.

Divide and conquer is their most powerful weapon. So they want to destroy the greatest example of unity among Nigerians, the #EndSARS protests and use us fighting against ourselves to do their work.
