@OP Don't waste your own time with these people. They are all into the ethos of giving a Dog a bad name to hang it. Nigeria can never make progress hosting people who are alway emotional and highly partisan to the extent korokoro facts can never shift their position on what they have chosen to believe. Many can never see let alone admit their myopia and rigid hatred of some people (PMB, Northern political leaders) and some ethnic group (Hausa/Fulani) has distorted their grasp on reality. Everything must now fit the narrative Buhari and his people are bad, insensitive and our "common enemies" etc, etc. I just hope we dont land ourselves in the cauldron of murderous and ethnicity-based hatred that led to the Rwandan genocide since some don't want to give even facts and reality a chance anymore. 2 Likes |

Thank God for Amnesty International that also helped Buhari win election by ridiculing GEJ and Chibok girls. Meanwhile, less diversion of the discussion to Igbos, IPOB, wailers, and southerners! Blame Amnesty for once, next blame UK, USA, France! 2 Likes |

Rossinty: We gave you a video of your army shooting at unarmed protesters. That is an enough "lead". What supporting incontrovertible evidence do you have to dismiss that lead? Lt Gen F. Omata is accused to have led the operation. Have you cross-examined him? Where's proof of the cross-examination and where's proof of him denying leading the operation? 1 Like |

Oshigun: Thanks bro. I was as shocked as everyone else when news of this alleged shootings emerged. But you can never just believe things you hear, and close your mind to alternative possibilities and research of the truth. I was never really convinced the Nigerian Army killed unarmed youths at Lekki tollgate. But what really got me was the interview with Amnesty international's Nigeria chief rep. This woman was just blabbering nonsense on air, with absolutely no evidence of her claims. That was when I realised something was very wrong with this story. |

ibuildstuff: Sanwo Olu was taken in perhaps by the same dramatic twitter videos which SEEMED to show the army killing people. Everyone was, including Bill Clinton, Hilary, Kanye West et al. What we are doing on this thread is going beyond the dramatic looking videos and actually examining the evidence. And what do we see? No evidence! Plus lies and obfuscation by Amnesty international! |

Awol1: Use your head. ''Shooting'' could mean rubber bullets, which are legitimate to disperse unruly or violent crowds. Even shooting live rounds into the air would not constitute a danger. No family members of any 'deceased' person has come forward. Don't you find that a tad odd?
Accused by whom? Amnesty International? |

Rossinty: Accused by Nigerians. By those who pay his salary. Is there no Lt Gen F. Omata in the army? Why can't he come give his side of the story? About whether they fired rubber bullets or live ammunition, was the army supposed to be deployed on a civil and internal matter? And you want families to come forward so you can disappear them, right? 1 Like |

Awol1: Which Nigerians? Can you name them? It's a big country of 200 million people. Is there no Lt Gen F. Omata in the army? I don't know. Is there? Why can't he come give his side of the story? What ''story''? About whether they fired rubber bullets or live ammunition, was the army supposed to be deployed on a civil and internal matter? We don't actually know if the army was there at all. The Nigerian army says that its soldiers WERE NOT at the Lekki toll gate on that day, and were not deployed there. Anyone can wear camouflage uniform and resemble a soldier. And you want families to come forward so you can disappear them, right? If YOUR brother was shot dead at Lekki by soldiers, would you and your entire family as Nigerians be too afraid to report the incident? Multiply that question by 12 alleged victims and their families. If you were honest, you know the answer to that - ''HELL NO''. So stop lying and imagining rubbish. |

Awol1: That's your emotion plus LOW IQ talking. What have you to say about US calling that the soldiers involved be brought to book? They are harbingers of fake news too? I don't give a hot damn what the USA says or does. By the way, if you want to talk about criminality, the US has never prosecuted anyone for their military's murder of 1 million innocent Iraqi civilians based on lies about non-existent WMDs, and their police routinely brutalize and shoot innocent Americans, without recompense - violations which gave rise to the Black Lives Matter movement. So they have no credibility whatsoever to speak on this, or any other matter relating to human rights. And if "criminal elements" wore military fatigue to shoot at unarmed protesters, what is the government doing to apprehend such people because they are obviously danger to public security and peace? It is not the government's job to reveal details of current investigations which may be occurring. |

ibuildstuff:It’s obvious you’ve collected or promised money to do this. But just think about what you’re doing now, when all these things will end, the person/people who paid you will forget you because you do not belong to their class friends and associates, but for now they will continue appreciating you for the job you’re doing. Now one thing you should not forget is that, when we have another uprising in this country, you may be a fatal victim to it and another idiot will also be paid Just like you to sweep your pathetic story under the carpet and you will just end up like that without justice served on your killers. Just reason am oo, what goes around comes around, especially misdeeds and despicable attitudes. Enjoy your blood money for now. 1 Like |
