National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has restated that he is still a 'Jagaban', a titled conferred on him by Halliru Dantoro the Emir of Borgu.

Mr Tinubu restated this while speaking with journalists on allegations against him — during a visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Statehouse, Marina on Saturday.

The former Lagos Governor was accused of masterminding Lekki shooting, an attack which left many Nigerians protesting against police brutality in the country dead.

In a report on 21 October, Amnesty International stated that at least 12 protesters were killed in what the organisation described as "extrajudicial executions".

It was also reported that a former marketer with a telecom company, 9Mobile was among the casualties.

In contrast, Mr Sanwo-Olu, initially said nobody was killed at Lekki and later tweeted that one person died at hospital as a result of blunt force trauma to the head and that the connection to the protest was under investigation.

The APC chieftain who had paid a visit to the governor shortly after his arrival from London described all the allegations against him since the Lekki Toll Gate shooting as fake.

He further stated that the allegations are mere joke and not something to be taken serious.

“I am still the Asiwaju of Lagos, I am the Jagaban. I cannot be killed by fake news,” the national leader of Borgu Emirate of Nigeria firmly stated.

Speaking on rumours that his son, Seyi Tinubu was kidnapped, Tinubu who showed his son to the camera said “My son is here.”

Seyi is the owner of Loatsad Promomedia Limited, an advert company which turned off the billboard at the Lekki toll gate few hours to the deadly attack by men in military uniform.

The advert company cited the 24-hour curfew order by Sanwo-Olu as the reason it turned off the billboard which could have serve as light for the protesters.

There are several videos on social media showing Nigerians in the United Kingdom protesting in front of Tinubu’s house in London.

Sighted in the fifty-fifth seconds of the video is Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu. The governor was clearly seen paving way for Tinubu.

This has sparked another mixed reactions from Nigerians on the micro-blogging platform with many describing Sanwo-Olu as 'houseboy'.

A user simply identified as Greg wrote; “Errand boy is even there.”

Another user identified as Wale wrote; "See our governor.”

“Even the Governor was clearing road for him,” a user, Adebayo wrote.

Abdullah wrote; “Sanwoolu the Tinubu dog.”

No that is a lie. Government (Public) properties is different from leader (individual) properties.

If we burn the public buildings, BRT, police stations, that’s government properties which was done in virtually all states.

But when we attack Sanwoolu mother house, when Kanu say burn Tinubu houses and businesses, when people attract TVC, The Nation, Oriental Hotel and etc. simply because they said Tinubu own it is the main issue.

I haven’t seen you guys burning Peter Obi business and houses. Did he not partook in the massacre of countless Igbos in Akwuzu? What about Ekweremadu? Why haven’t you burn down his numerous houses and why is Ikpeazu businesses and family house still standing?

FYI I'm not an Igbo. And you should also know that most of the politicians later strengthened their security immediately the Lagos destruction began. So youths backed out on their way to such houses, I think, including Tinubu's house.
