This has to stop though.

Otherwise the looters will soon turn to the common masses when there are no politicians to loot again

This is not good news because by the time they hoodlums finish with the upper class, the next class might be the middle class where a lot of Nigerians are presently or working very hard to belong .

The middle class is what runs Nigeria. It is Nigeria's payload and must be preserved by all means

This looting and carnage should just stop before Nigeria falls into full scale anarchy and civil war

By the time they are done with the politicians, the looters would become middle class themselves..

That is how you will continue condemning everyone who is rational enough to see where this is heading, until when it gets to your door and you come back here to lament how your pot of soup and last N2000 was taken from your house with the threat of a knife.

It is obvious this curfew being imposed by various state governments has proven to be ineffective. Since the imposition of the curfew by various state governments the rate of looting/vandalism has been on the rise in those states.

This just shows we don’t have problem solvers as leaders across the federation . Their preferred solutions to problems have time and again proven to be catalyst for other problems.

The curfew imposed by sanwoolu gave a field day to hoodlums across the states to loot people’s businesses while the business owners are restricted to their homes because they couldn’t defy the curfew order.

Our leaders need to be thinkers not just yes men who copy anything they see their counterparts doing

Scenarios of Nigeria's disintegration

Phase 1. People protest

Phase 2. Government repress protesters. Soldiers fire live ammunition into crowds killing protesters.

Phase 3. Mob retaliate and burn down government and political leader assets.

Phase 4. Army and police withdraw due to international pressure to guard their own barracks only.

Phase 5. Mob go after assets and houses of prominent political leaders. Politicians flee abroad with their families.

Phase 6. Mob go after assets and lives of middle class or anyone that has semblance of wealth. Estates housing the middle classes are attacked. Remember no more police or army to protect them.

Phase 7. Full scale war as opportunists with group interests and egos to live up to take over. Competing interests and internecine wars end up tearing the country apart.

Phase 8. Refugees flee the country in thousands to become beggars in neighboring countries

Phase 9. This is not 1960s- external forces will not quell the fighting. The internal wars will be a continuous recurring decimation. With no uniting force ( no military or police or politicians)- Libya scenario.

We pray it doesn't get to that stage

We told them this won't bring us any good, they said lot has been achieved.
DJ Switch has escaped to UK and those shouting we won't take it didn't leave their house. Lives has been wasted and the government will have to prioritize the choice of rebuilding first.

84 BRT Buses Burnt Cost N3.9 billion, Over N1tn Required To Rebuild Damaged Properties – Official

The state Commissioner for Information, Gbenga Omotosho, has said that 27 of the destroyed BRT vehicles cost $200,000 each, while 57 of them cost $100,000 each, all totalling about N3.9 billion.

It has also emerged that over N1 trillion may be required to rebuild public and private property destroyed by hoodlums in Lagos. This was a rough assessment of the financial requirement after Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited some of the destroyed property yesterday.

The long list of destroyed public and private property in Lagos are Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government secretariat; Palace of the Oba of Lagos; Lagos High Court, Igbosere; Oyingbo BRT terminus; Ojodu Berger BRT terminus; Vehicle Inspection Office, Ojodu Berger; Lagos State Public Works Corporation, Ojodu Berger; Lagos City Hall and Circle Mall, Lekki; numerous luxury shops in Surulere, The Nation Newspaper, TVC and Shoprite Lekki.

Also according to the police, the 25 stations burnt in Lagos are Orile, Amukoko, Layeni, Ilasamaja, Ikotun, Ajah, Igando, Elemoro, Makinde, Onipanu, Ebute Ero, Pen-Cinema, Isokoko, Alade, Cele, Igbo Elerin, Shibiri, Gbagada, Onilekere, Makoko, Daleko, Asahun, Makinyo, Amuwo-Odofin, Anti-Kidnapping, Surulere. Other police stations that were vandalised but not burnt were Ojo, Ojodu, Mowo, PPL and Morogbo.

The governor therefore warned against protests in the state, saying “enough is enough”.

Sanwo-Olu ordered the clean-up of the state, saying Lagos must heal.

He said, “We have also commenced the clean-up of the city because the city needs to be clean up. A whole lot of roadblocks, tyres burnt on the road…LAWMA (Lagos Waste Management Authority) are out already. They will be working all through the night.
Forward or backwards?

They better go and beg Niger Delta militants and accept all their demands. Once those ones start bombing and military efforts diverted there. Youths will move on politicians and their families majorly.

It won't get to this. Government will most likely increase military presence on the streets till calm returns everywhere. Arrests will be made and they would consult religious and traditional leaders with influence to speak to people.

At the end, the anarchy will lose momentum

Our leaders need this sort of treatment. This is what they created. If people knew beforehand that such consequence was possible before entering power then they may think before promising falsehoods. A rogue people is the very creation of equally rogue leaders. This point in time the hoodlums keep death as an afterthought; staying alive with a full belly is all which matters to them.
