The cold war between Governor Udom Emmanuel and his predecessor, Senator Godswill Akpabio might have been renewed following insinuations from political analysts that the earlier denied the latter an official audience.

The two political bigwigs in Akwa Ibom fell apart leading to the decamping of Senator Akpabio from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), and his subsequent appointment as the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs.
